It is very easy... Enter when Gadi_TickVolume, Gadi_trend and Gadi_normalizedVolume are all blue for long and all red for short... And then follow the movement of that pairs to know what is the max profit and the max drawdown, never re-enter if you don't have an opposite signl before.
This type of analysis is useful to understand how to set up a trailing stop and the SL because for now we don't have a clear exit point yet.
Remeber that you can do this only for two months because the indicators have no history (i'm sure that when...

I thought about G's words during this week, he said that my trades (see post 1,246) are perfectly ok and ultra-safe, he said also that the Gadi_Trend tend to lag and if i want to be more aggressive i could ignore it. So this time i decided to change my mechanical approach and i choose to use only two indicators from the Gadi's menų: Gadi_TickVolume and Gadi_NormalizedVolume.
I took all the signals from our indicators, but to be a little more aggressive and always safe i decided to stay with the trend and to go long or short only if the Gadi_TickVolume is above or below the zero line.
Looking at my charts i also noticed that the Gadi_TickVolume reacts very well when we have a change in direction, so i introduced an exit point which is when the indicator change color from blue to red and vice versa.
Now we have a couple of things to remember: the first is that this a trend trading approach, so it can be good for a trending market, but in a ranging period we could have some problems.
For this reason we definitely need a filter and this will be the subject of my next homework.
The second thing is that we have only three months of results due to the history's problem (i'm sure that G will work on it
) and we may have been just lucky..... what do you think guys?? I think that i have a Ferrari (Gadi indies) here and i need to learn how to drive (trade) it imho.
Every opinions, constructive comments and especially suggestions will be highly appreciated,.. would you like to add some indicators from our menų (apart the Gadi_trend)? If yes which is and how? Would you like to add some filter? G has already suggested to avoid entry if there is a 3 times large bar and when the signal develops in the “killing zone”, any other idea? I am all ears.....

I think the results are not so bad especially because this approach requires less than five minutes work every 4 hours.
i also posted the charts with entry and exit signals, the red line is the signal candel and we enter at the open of the next candel, the yellow line is our exit at the close of that candel.

Very good results there Sabrina. If you dont mind i'd like to throw in my opinion. I've been looking at gadi since GG introduced us to his indicators. Big thank you to GG for that and also Jusiur for opening the thread. Don't forget that when we backtest the indicators the results are good. Most things are, in hindsight, however like many people here i'm still not convinced about the gadi normalized indi. Only because whilst i've been forward testing them they can start a white and then change to either blue or red depending on the direction of the candle. So we are not 100% sure that it will go in our direction. Personally i've removed it off my chart and i'm going to forward test gadi tick volume and OBV. I will post my findings this week on a live micro account. Hopefully we can all help each other improve our results.

Thank you for your reply Saf, about the Gadi_normalizedVolume see the previous post where G explains how this indicator works, anyway i am very interesting about your results and how you use OBV with Gadi_TickVolume.

I understand what you are saying Sabrina and I also understand what GG is trying to point out. But in forward testing the indi normally starts white and then as time passes it shows you the direction, usually by then it is too late to get into the trade. Maybe in the morning I can take a snapshot of what i mean. There is also 1 little indi i've added but first I would like to use it on the trades this week and then maybe discuss with GG if he feels it will be of some use to us.

P.S The trades this week will only be on EU and on a 5 min chart. Likewise I also did a backtest but i'm taking the results with a pinch of salt. Most of the trades were risk 1:5 reward. Sometimes much higher. All entries will be from Frankfurt open. I watched the trade Friday yet was reluctant to pull the trigger.

The results of a backtest are always to take with a "pinch of salt" but are very useful to understand how the indicators works together.
Mine is not a strategy yet but an approach... I'm still learning
