Is there anyone who actually understands the code and calculations behind the braintrend indicator ?

I am looking trough the code and until now i understand that it has to do with the average true range. It first calculates a linear weighted average for 7 periods and than uses another default ATR 10 periods. I can't understand however how it actually provdes the signals using these two average true ranges.

Is there anyone who can help and provide some explanations?
cause i really don't like to use an indicator i don't understand and this one seems promising.

ok so if there still is someone interested in this indicator and how it actually works, i finnaly understood the code behind the indicator on my own. I am talking only about the BrainTrend2 indicator.

It always has to alternate signals which means it can not print out two consecutive arrows pointing in the same direction. Of course this was obvious to the naked eye just by looking at the charts.

The main ideeas behind the arrows is the following:

Print BUY signal if current high is bigger than the lowest previous high + LWATR
Print SELL signal if current low is lower than the highest previous low - LWATR

By LWATR i mean linear weighted average true range. The period used for calculations is 7.

Basically this is all there is to know about this indicator. The main ideea is actually very simple but it took me some time to understand it behind that mql code.

The system is good from 30 min timeframe up, but you should not take the signals against the trend (is ema 42 (21 on 1h) up or down on the actual chart?) until you see the signal also on a higher timeframe (1h when signal was on 30 min). Pallada oder Synergy 2 is better.

The actual performance results are completely consistent with what was discussed previously. The only way to test this manual system was to create an EA with very simple rule. The rule is stop and reverse system to test objectively the performance.

However not the general Brain trend is used but an improved brain trend with digital smoothing. The idea is to smooth the results and authomatically to reduce the noisy signals.

The Brain trend was consistently profitable since September 2012 on 30 m and 1 h time frames. However the future performance depends on the future market state.
