LOL me too sim. I have an 18.4 inch laptop which is easy to move from the office to my room, or basically take anywhere and trade. I once made $600 at the movies lol.

I trade using a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet...connected to my server through a program called Remote RDC. My workstation is wherever I am at any given time. Last summer it was Thailand for 7 weeks, at the moment it's in London.

Trading the H1 charts I don't need multiple monitors, but I have a Macbook Pro as backup...haven't used it in at least a month.

where did the O.P go? Did tdion and his E.As blow up?

I wonder if the product isn't Remote RDP (for Remote Desktop Protocol), for which I found a review here.

A couple questions, then:

1. The review describes an issue with a "Low Memory" warning on the Android device. Have you experienced that, and is it ever an issue?
2. Have you set up your own server, or are you using a virtual private server (VPS) ?
3. With what FX platform have you had this success?

As for your questions:

1) Never had an issue, neither on my tablet nor on my Galaxy S3 phone.
2) I have a VPS server through SWVPS...they're cheap and their support always treated me ok. If you go with them, add a bit of RAM if you run a lot of EAs and separate charts.
3) I'm with Oanda because their size (at least in my mind) and the fact that they're heavily regulated means they probably won't run away with my money. However, I only keep a small amount ($10k) on there with the rest of my bankroll staying with my regular bank. Pretty happy with them overall, execution times are ok (not great, but trading the H1 charts it doesn't really matter if I enter 10sec later) and spreads are fine too unless you trade exotic pairs. Spread for EURUSD is 1.2pips most of the time...

The cool thing about a tablet is that you can simply buy a data SIM in another country (if it's unlocked) and enjoy Internet for cheap. I did that in Thailand and it worked like a charm...plus, trading while drinking beers and smoking shisha at the beach was a fun experience. Currently saving up to have a go at doing this full time (currently still working full time in the real estate investment industry). My plan is to do a trip around the world for a year, so unless I want to lug around a laptop, a tablet is my best option. Lugging around a laptop will be a pain, so that's not an option. I also have a small app that allows me to wipe my tablet remotely if it ever gets stolen...pretty important given I don't want anyone to access my trading account
