Hi T i have a question regarding profit taking..

i don't trade full time and never intend to but i would like to know how a full time trader pays himself.. do you take a percentage of profits, a set amount.. do you sometimes never take profit and leave into your account to grow?
would be interesting to know... i personally want to grow my account to a certain amount then start to take 50-75% of profitable trades bear in mind trading is only part time for me

Thats another story..I will review it soon, im glad u asked the question.

I personally earn from trading my personal account and being employed as a head trader in a firm.

For retails a sort of strategy is advised but mostly I never take off ALL the profits, we need to have some reserve cash. Ill cover that maybe during the weekend.

It was 2939>2915 actually. The price went to 2915 then it jumped as presumed. 2935 atm.

preferred scenario now:

first down towards 2905 to 2896

But we have to be aware, that a break of 2905 can quickly lead to an extended downside movement towards 2849

Then retest of the 2950 to 2970 area.

Hi guys,

As we planned yesterday the move to 2912-15 is again buy the dip, at least we can drive it to 40-50 level probably and we could try to look for shorts somewhere around those levels.

As IN(Fini)tus said, 2950 is a good retest area where 2970 break or hold. The break of it will resume bullish channel.

Yes mate, all well, thanks for asking. Hope ur good too. I missed some setups yesterday, had some resting orders ( missed by a mere 3 pip ), today I hope the price will be more obedient lol.

Yesterday I expected 3020 then a possible drop, but the price went to 2995 and start dropping. That was really unexpected. Now we are having a retracement on daily so lets see, would like to see 2905 and 2875.

Yesterday morning I was in the bathroom, when I saw price starting to drop before it reached 3020. Lesson to learn: do not take a shower LOL

and to add to this: do not go to business meeting when price is around bottom LOL


set PO long at 2876 and missed it so by a mere 1-2 pips

Step by step and as our morning analysis suggested ( look also at the blog under the signature) 2875 proved a great opportunity to go long. It is clear that we are in uptrend and daily retracement got us to 2875, remember THE BIGGER THE MOVE IS THE BIGGER THE RETRACEMENT.

As we noticed yesterday, the price has perfectly respected the analysis and it was a great opportunity to make good profits.
Today we are getting close to a crucial intraday resistance zone 2960-70. There are 2 ways this can be traded. Either short it around 2955 with 15 point stop or wait if 2970 would be broken then long it on retest with stops around 2950.
Only a sustained break above 2970 will accelerate bullish wave towards 3020-30. If 2960 is rejected only below 2930 sellers will gain more momentum towards 2912 and 2905.

Ofcourse needless to say, the best option is to scale out, trail it or put stops to BE for all who have kept the longs since yesterday.

I personally went on 65 retest, scaled out some, leaving the rest on BE.

We are bullish, the price can get to 3040 today, looking to short it around 3030 if we get there today.

Quarterly Up Fractal in progress resolving divergence.. looks like 1.35 is just a hiccup on the way to 1.50 again..
