Yes, it is almost the same, SD is mine, look at the code of modified indis, u find a domain name with .ee ending (Iīm an Estonian), was mine, dropped that domain, having another domain in same planet.ee environment but I wont advertise at the moment as there is nothing to see.
Traded the system for some time but didnīt stick to it as I was between jobs for some time and traded PA, now I struggle with trading for some month and have to return to the system.

if i understand correctly , you have been trading since 2007 but have not made any money and you are just at break even, after 5 years ?

if this is correct, then it is very concerning indeed.

Yes, you understand correctly, almost nothing, but looking at the bright side - itīs probably impossible to count people who have traded, lost huge amounts and done with FX in 5 yrs. Or in 5 month.
As told, trading is more like a hobby to me, but I would like to start to move to a next level. Slowly, step by step.

Agree with you there, TD. Would be nice to get actual stats on Trading success of fresh signups.
Looks, like a cautious approach, is suited to your temperament and will ensure you do not become one of those that drop out completely.

You work a lot and yet you pick more or less scalping method based on lots of moving averages. Now wouldnt it make sense for you to shape your system for pure trend traiding so you would only need half and hour a day to trade ?

Considering the attached chart that would seem reasonable.
(yes, I added some "junk" to compare.)

btw.... I once became acquainted with (starting out) an illegal immigrant who swam the Rio Grande and made his way to family in Chicago. He worked for 10 years as a taxi driver and saved enough money (80k or so) to start his own small business. Not an easy feat.

big thumbs up to this simple yet powerful system...

all I can say is that you must also use PIVOT POINTS!!

if you do not have the pivot lines on your chart, you will be blind

use this indicator here, turn off sunday data, and turn on all the other lines. Watch how the market obeys them.

Once this clown system gives you an entry signal, you will have an idea of where it can possibly go and then turn using the pivots. helps you know when to take profit

btw, i am currently watching gbp/jpy and the charts are turning around to short. it's interesting watching the clown colors line up on the different time frames. I'm waiting for short confirmation on the 15 min chart, and once in the trade, i am looking for the downtrend to break the Daily Pivot and go down to the Weekly Pivot/ Daily Support 1 lines... and then bounce back up to the Daily Pivot

I've often tried to be a counter-trend trader. Often, it doesn't work out. But of course you can grab a few pips maybe on the 5 or 15m

On the 1H there might be some (bearish) divergence or just a correction but personally, I'm not ready for a fire sale.

U only need green or red candles, gray candles and bars that dont paint can point out a ranging market or possible trend change. U never see those non painted candles or gray ones on nicely trending market.

I have seen real live scalping in a real trading room.
It was news and information trading on stocks and at the moment I noticed something going on and guys screaming short coded words ab what market in general does, what related instruments/competitors do, if news and info are published in "mainstream channels" (they often sent notice their selves, with a link to a source) - it was over. Really, just seconds and out.

So taking 10 pips in a minute up to ... an hour or more isnīt scalping. Itīs just reasonable expectation TP would be hit.

And I do trade longer term but I have to see something really good on a chart. Last one was Aussie Daily, in the middle of September, see the chart, reversal bar, double top. But that kind of set ups donīt happen even every week and I get bored waiting, also boring to have one and wait for days to TP.
H4 - it closes on different hours on different brokers - donīt like it. On one broker you get perfect pin or something, on other you might get engulfing.
H1 - already too small, news and intraday spikes can erase 5 days gain in a blink of an eye and hit BE or SL. Good TF if you have time to observe and move your SL to avoid shit storms if there is any in sight.

Works as exellent as (colored) EMA24. Needs some filtering.
