the issues is the momentum measured on FX is not real momentum.
to calculate momentum we need 2 data
- mass
- speed
we have speed
but
mas = order book
which we dont have that @ FX.
I had already tested what you have ment.
the distance change in a period of time. fast/slow
as usual it again created bidirectioanl signals.
what I am trying to do is getting confirmation of actual TF wave from smaller TF s
this has to be done that way. ( according to EW logic )

a time based percentage indicator of pip changing (like "pip per minute") to measure the "dynamic" and momentum of the running actual wave,
to get an idea of strenght and further movement (i´m sure it need some backtest), it could be an optical sign if the
move is getting stronger or weaker to decide about entry or exit.

I just want to be clear with my view, I have voted on the above poll as a "BEAR" for the week......but to start of the week a little bullish run will not surprise me before the bears come in the attack and bring the price down.....witch could come some time Monday......
Of course I do not have a crystal ball (I wish I did).....but that is my analysis....(and hope), but my hope(or positions) never affect my analysis....my analysis affect my positions.....

I am not saying that the EA logic may fail ( it may also which is very normal )
I mean the expectancy
when expectancy on demo < ~3-4 pips it may fail on real acocunt due to slippage
