EUR/USD short trade - missed. One for the history/look up folder!

Im sure many would have taken this - similar setup on swissy. I was away from the screens so missed it - pretty straight forward trade with no drawdown.

Then open the 15M....seeing this girl here feel so lonely up there, being 100 pips from her Mama ( 200ema).

She want to go near to her Mama..... I give a SHORT hand for cheap 35 pips with miminum exposure ( 9 pips SL)

I donno WHY I like to do CT today..........lol

I seldom take CT.

Dear brother Gibril, that was a beautiful trade, pure perfection.
1,2,3, candles are what Arjun calls confirmed entry , candle #3 is the confirmation candle.
That was one of the best lessons I learned from him.

Hi,

To all,

I just want to encourage young traders and struggling traders

This week trading activity

25 wins 7 loss.

Nobody is perfect. Like ARJUN says : We just mininize the losses here.
I actually made 3 errors because of my EYES lol. The other 4 loss was just part of the business.

I review and study what went right what went wrong. What did I miss? What didn't I see? This how you change yourself and your results change. You improve in discretion, you know learn what to avoid.

YOU HAVE TO LEARN WHO YOU ARE (YOUR OWN BEHAVIORS) to be able to identify areas of improvement.

TRADING IS ONLY EASY IF YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO lol

Aren.......

Let say you want to put 60MTF 10 ema on your 15MTf Chart.

You do this ( see attached)

Change any colour you like.

Time Frame = 60 ( one hour)

MA Period - 10 ( that is 10 period MA)

MA Methos is 1 = EMA

Than you repeat for other EMA, say 4 hr = 240, one day = 1440, one week = 5000000

OK....?

Anyway, why you want to put those in your chart ?. Its all in 200ema, 800ema and 50 ema, And then you got this Simple EMA indicator to mark where is 4hr 10EMA.

I hope you don't confuse yourself with all this MTF MA.

Thats sweet. Thank you Gibril

Nice one jordfx!
With right position sizing, longer trades like that can in fact be less stressful. Up to the trader.

i was only able to trade early today, came back to see the trade had failed

i entered on the bounce off from the 200 800emas. i am not confident when trading around this area as i find it to be so unpredictable. i think i will stay away from trading around the 200 ema and 800 emas

looking back i see i bought in at resistance, should have spotted that before the trade was taken.

Hi Ciara,

You are spot on with your trade again. did it hit your TP.

May I ask, you enter on a 1 hr. TF.

Hi Winwin,

sorry for missing your Q and late answer..was having MT4 issues earlier this week, had to buy a new powerfull machine and reinstall everything, been missing a lots of posts.

I enter on M15 TF, but setups come from HTF. The day before I do my HW for a daily setup (according to weekly from Sunday) and draw the lines around the PA. I will also attach the indicator for help you. U insert it twice and edit/set the timeframe to a) 60 mins (and choose it to appear in H1 only) for the first one and b) to 240 min, this one should show up in H4 TF only. Then draw the lines over these dots according to to setups to the left in H1 and in H4, so they will show up later in M15 or lower TFs. All of this to avoid the mess on LTF.

Then u enter according to the Rules of this Thread. S/R lines are very important (besides RNs, EMAs, TLs etc).

Hope that answers your question,

Ciara

Here is an update.. 15 min TF.. It worked pretty well on EMINIS (S&P 500 Futures, December Edition) as it caught both extremes, lol
Besides the plan, some luck is a part of the game too.

Hi mate – hope you well.

Firstly check your 800ema setting. See the attached chart – I’ve double checked with few other posts and my 800ema is matching theirs.

You went long purely on touch of 200ema and pin bar – see the HTF first. I went short on that setup – check post 14,448. Everything was looking for a move lower. Price was between 200ema & 800ema – that means bounces and as we have been told it will look for a way to breakout!

Please take this as a constructive criticism –

Entering mistake is fine – we all make it, there is nothing we can do about that – it’s almost like a business expense. Sometimes we forget to spot or evaluate the obvious. That’s fine.

Not being there to manage the trade is poor. Sorry to sound little harsh but its money and more importantly it hits confidence. Straight away you commented – ‘I will not trade around 200ema & 800ema’ – some of the best trades are there – in fact a more impulsive reaction away.

Take a close look where you entered – the next candle was unable to break higher and also stayed below the 10ema – that presented plenty of opportunities to cut the position. Example a -5 pip is better than -10? You saving half of the loss because of a potentially wrong entry.

I feel managing the trade is vital – good entry and the trade is fine – poor entry and you can manage the trade accordingly.

This is not a mechanical system where we have a fixed stop and fixed TP. Once we enter and see that the trade is not working out – chop, move to the next trade.

(Example today – a room friend took aussie pin setup – missed TP by a few pips, trade went against but chopped it for a few pips loss – did not let the SL hit, moved on and took euro and nailed it for 30+ pips)

Mate do not take the above in a wrong way – but I feel if you can not be at the screens then do not take a trade ( for scalpers). When you are at the screens then hit it hard!

Cheers

Dear Arjun

I dont know in what way u took my post.

First of all let me clarify that I couldnt understand the meaning of "Do we need a private website" I just asked a friend of mine who has suggested me to go thru this thread & even he could not clear it. I just thought that it will be against your wishes of spreading knowledge to everyone. So voted against having a private website.

As far as spending on this new website is concerned, I am very much open to this idea but the process of sharing & spreading the light of knowledge must continue, of course with ppl chosen by u.

I have burnt my fingers a lot in the past & now after having been introduced to ur thread I am back in the game but still in DEMO mode. Therefore one who himself is in the learning stage should not post DEMO charts. As such I am waiting & will soon be helpful to needy.

We might be creating a website....which no one will know and i will invite based on their MIND....if you are thinking....who cares if you invite us or not.....mark my words you will not be in that list...naturally you will not be invited.....coz the invitation is purely based on the helping nature and kind heart....

Below folks will not be invited...

1) " I know everything attitude will not be invited"
2) Whoever disrespected another soul will not be invited
3) If you were here to show others " I'm a great trader "
4) You dint help others when they really needed you
5) just came to kill your time...spreading negative energy

"mark my words you will not be in the list" is this for me or a generalised phrase for the ppl as mentioned below.

If it is so I dont find myself in any of the 5.

Moreover I was just trying to tell u that a person like you who is doing it selflessly & motivelessly should not feel uneasy with the way some wrongdoers try to perturb.

Anyway if I have hurt u anytime or anywhere, I am really sorry.

I would request you to please go thru my post no 48 in Extracted posts & u will understand what I am trying to say.

Very good job recognizing what went wrong. Keep up the good work.
A Really good tip for others:

*Sometimes it's more about finding/searching for a reason to not to take the trade versus the other way around. If you can't find any reason not to enter, ENTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!
