Yes, that's what I meant with the midterm elections. The GOP certainly is reeling after this and they know their core voters are getting fewer so they will need to do something radical to be able to fight the DEM in the future.

If they fail again in two years it could give DEM full power.

I actually kinda liked Gary Johnson. I hope he gets far more coverage in the next cycle. Extreme in ideals (especially budgetary; he is fiscally conservative), but I like it to shake things up a bit. He is also a supporter of the fair tax.

Actually, that's not always the case. In 96 we saw massive changes. Unfortunately, Bill Clinton isn't President......

My perspective is this: If the economy doesn't pick up in the next two years - the Dems are in serious trouble. Lets be honest: The electorate gave Obama a second chance, even though he didn't do much to improve the economy. There is a real chance that he gets blamed for all of this. You should have seen the commercials......there was one that even suggested that his challenger was responsible for the death of a woman! (Ironic, as the President's party has a patron saint named Teddy Kennedy who actually did kill a woman in the 60s.)

I have never seen an election so dirty, and I suspect the electorate will be in no mood for more of this. However, it just worked, and it seems that we have set the bar quite a bit lower for the next election.....

Johnson was a good guy. It is a shame that people like him don't get more exposure. I didn't vote for him, but to be honest - he would have been a better choice than Obamney.

Yep. Something different, and someone who would make the drastic changes that no one else will. Of course, we have half the people whom support him, but don't because it's a 'wasted vote'.. and the cycle continues.

I does looks strong, and you certainly cannot argue with the overall trend......of course it also matters where you are long from as to whether or not you can use large or small stop losses..

Since this is bearish financials.....I would be willing to take a position. There are a lot of political forces lining up against the banks at the moment, and if we slow down.....the banks will get hit hard. Certainly worth the risk/reward ratio.

Agreed. My basis is low 100s, so I've given it room (wide stop). Certainly a longer-term trade since I'm playing the weeklies. I don't have as much time to look at 4H or sometimes even dailies, so i've gone almost completely to weeklies. Also my job makes me hold any stock trade for at least 30-days, so i pretty much HAVE to give it room :-)

I don't know if I have ever traded this pair, but I went long AUD/SEK. This makes sense if you think about it, as both are "risk on" currencies. However, the SEK is more generally situated with the idea of "risk on" in Europe, while the AUD is more associated with "risk on" in Asia. In some ways, this is the same as saying Asia should do better than Europe......
