Ihave one which is very good for last 10 years. as said TP ~1000 pips.

now waiting a year
will BT it again after 1 year if it works on FT will use it

will start to FT those one -- i recently found a nice program called Forex Strategy Builder (freeware) it is very limited in term of money management but give good strategy idea (entry and exit signal) to code EAs

that software has a module (strategy generator) that test a random combinaison of indicators and parameters until it find a profitable strategies - it like an automated quantitative analysis

i noticed that i use only bar open and also large TF - i do not think that metatrader is a good software (very limited ) for automated trading and prefer to consider coding EA as an entertainement and part of the trading learning/improvement process - but i am studing closely a trading software called Multicharts
