Hey Cara

Pls take a look at this screenshot of today's trade, EURJPY my SL was triggered when price was 1.6 pips away.

I honestly don't know why, cos this brokers spread fir this pair has never gone below 1.9 pips what could have caused this.

I want to reply to their confirmation email and demand an explanation, what do you think?

Checked again the trade was closed 17:54 (brokers time) and the candle close then was 101.638 while my SL was 101.659 a difference of 2.1 pips.

Will I be told it's difference between Bid and Ask, how does B&A affect a trade in progress?

Slippage of 2.1 pips damned inefficient broker them.

I am a gonna ship of to a better broker if this continues, slippage should only affect you when you place an order not get you out of a trade when price has not reached your SL, I can understand when price zooms past your SL and adds 4 to 7 pips to your SL but not when price has not reached your SL, were they anticipating my SL being hit?

I placed that SL a little bit above the ADR target knowing it would bounce back at the ADR low target.

I should be processing Pepperstone razor right now.

Sorry to see this, brother. Those things happen in FX markets. Even worse, unlike the markets I used to trade for years, ..there is no regulator here, no watchdog to fill complaint with. It's only an honour and respect for clients. I would definitely claim my money back plus unrealized profit /order was placed properly, I suppose that is the common way u trade most of the time/. U have clearly become a victim of spread intentionally increased for these 1.6 pips for a millisecond only..just enough to empty your wallet. They would never admit, but i personally think they have these thing programmed to hunt u out.

Do that..if they care..u know the process of receiving and giving...there should be no problem. If not..too bad..change the broker.

Love, Ciara

Good try Bro.
I am sure you want to be much better in reading your charts.
So please, read the two questions again.
There is a ceratin skill which can only get 'wired into your brain' through meticulous study and deep practice.
It will take time, but once you get those wires in the right place inside your brain, it will simply click when you see CS on your charts.

Trust me just 1%. It took me 10,000 hours YTD.

Hi Emmanuel, I am sorry for the unexpected answer - I thought you were looking for the names of the candles combined.

1) and 2) both represent reversal patterns,

1) If we combine 3 and 4 into 1 candle we get an evening star formation, Please see an image attached (the example is on the daily equity TF, but similar applies to lower timeframes and forex). If we combine all 4 candles, we get a shooting star as previously mentioned.

Further, 1) starts off with a strong bullish move (candle 2), which hit resistance at 200 EMA. Just there, 2 dojis formed (3 and 4), which usually appear at the end of the move and indicate exhaustion. The bearish candle that followed (5) then retraced to 50 EMA dynamic support. Down move was not yet confirmed when candle 5 closed, since we can see a retracement wick right on top of the 50 EMA Dynamic support.

Application: It is not yet save to short at the candle 5 close - in some other instance, we could easily experience a reversal and move to the upside.

2) If we add 1 and 6 and combine 1 with 2, 3 with 4 and 5 with 6, we get a similar candle formation (Evening star). If we get all 6 together, we get a gravestone doji.

The major difference however is that candle 6 closes below candle 2 and 50 EMA and thus confirms the down move. We are much safer to short at close of candle 6 than at close of candle 5.

I hope that this was better. Please correct me if not. Thank you for pushing me further so I can learn more!

Kind Regards

Hi Rob,

Welcome to the thread! It depends on your experience, but I really think you should read at least first 300 pages to get a clue what we are doing here. After, there are some pdfs with posts of this thread's masters, which you can study to avoid going through the whole thread. I however encourage you, to read the whole thread, maybe not only once . I don't want to scare you off, but I promise that you won't regret. There are many trading gems at every page!

Stopped out on GU. Was a poor trade. Should have waited for previous low at .5968 to be broken before I entered. Also at HTF support zone. I was seeing with tunnel vision. Learn from my mistake!
