does anyone else have a problem with the LHDT commando indicator, in that it doesnt update each 4H bar automatically? I find myself having to switch to another timeframe and then back again to see the correct alerts. Its not a problem if I was watching 1 or 2 pairs... but i have am watching a few.. so its a bit of a pain.

Any ideas?

I would suggest that you narrow you scope of pairs and trade in manually. I have traded the original Commando Trading System since late 1999. (Trading the 5M on the Emini ES and eventually the Emini NQ when it came out). 60M’s current form is a slightly different but the principles are the same. (I personally like the improvement)

By doing it manually you will get a much better feel for price and how the method operates. You will begin to see the additional nuances (there are a few ) that can be incorporated with the Commando method. I will respectfully leave those for 60M to discuss as this is his method and thread.

60M revision is excellent but it does require some time in front of the screen...I trade the 6 majors and I can do a lot in a 15M time frame.

They are from a completely different strategy,but in short the same way as u use bollinger bands, they also make it easy to see s/r

so many ways to answer that question and depends on so many variables, when u trade, what tf,etc etc etc...

The best advice i can give is, accept u will get false signals, so make sure your winners are significantly bigger than your losers to negate them

Yes, I'm trading on H4 so I used to place a stop loss of 50 pips but how many Take profit ?

again...too many possible answers to that question...

u could try a trailing stop...

I tried it, it's good but I lost some pips if I let my trades go on.
How many pips do you take profit ?

I like the money management of this strategy, but the exit strategy may need some improvement. No strategy is perfect any way especially for discretionary trading.
