Can someone please help code MA that only uses open & close?

I think low and high on certain time frames are just white noise. I'm trying to see what happens if we create an MA based on (O+C)/2, along with it's usual manipulation. I couldn't modify the original MA from MT4 and I'm not a programmer. If you've seen it anywhere else, or already have such MA, can you please share? If you're a programmer can you please help?

I couldn't find much on this on the net. Hope something useful comes out of it. Besides i think this can automatically and roughly detect candlestick patterns.

Is it not possible to do? I think we just have to replace PRICE_CLOSE with (PRICE_OPEN+PRICE_CLOSE) / 2, somewhere in the code. Give it a shot guys. We could learn something new here.

Thank you kindly for the link. It works. But I'm not sure how many periods are calculated there, and there is no way you can customize it (sma, ema, ssma, lwma, hma). Can anyone add these manipulations into this MA code?

I'm going to combine this with candlestick patterns and I'll publish my findings here as soon as I can manipulate this MA. Thanks guys.

Been toying with this new calculation. Throwing in small and large periods, comparing it with different price calculations, comparing it with different methods, and I'm disappointed with the result. There is only a very slight difference (yellow line) among other MAs of the same period, same method, different price calculations(red lines). Oh well, you learn one more way that does not work.
