Hey Steph..

Thanks for getting back to me on this

I'm sure you'll pick it up quick smart as once you start looking for them and practicing like this method you will enjoy it a lot as the market does a lot of congestion/boxing, break out..boxing then break out..try looking at a plain chart and marking up the boxed/congestion areas with the MT4 rectangle tool..like other price patterns try and get them in line with the trend as more chance of a good break out with momentum..
Don't worry about not trading live yet..what ever your comfortable...

brother adrian..
thanks for your kind and encouraging words.

we have a whole encyclopedia of knowledge here in this thread and if we realize that as long as markets exist there will be an unlimited amount of opportunities and wealth available, we shouldn't worry about rushing things. that's why it's worth for all lovebees to read the whole thread and get a harvard pipsology degree here

after reading the thread the first time (it was only 200 pages?) i told myself for the second time... this thread can change your life...
7xx pages to change your life. wouldn't YOU take that chance?

peace and love

From what I can see it looks like you picked the perfect spot for an entry with lots of confluence..
If you wanted to trade that TF you could have put a sell limit in there and worked it from there by trailing the stop on a lower TF.. no need to not have a trade on as it was all part of your learning..if it didn't work out it didn't cost you any thing and best of all you've had another lesson learnt for free!

thanks for learning with me and teaching me mate!!

actually i found my entry on m15 and and target was ultimately the trendline you can see on the H4 chart. good for 56 points but with 1 SL adjustment that would have taken me out for +33 ca.

if you have time, can you tell me where you would have seen a SL adjustment? mine was on h1 but i don't want to bias you too much to find the same one.

sorry for taking your time

peace and love

This Weekend' Homework

Train your Eyes.

Create a new Profile in your MT4
Open 3 charts in this new Profile
Make the 1st chart M15 TF
Make the 2nd chart H1
Make the 3rd chart H4

Re-arrange the chart windows so that you can see a bigger M15 chart, and the two H1 and H4 as smaller windows as shown in the attachment below.

Add the same 10 EMA to each of the 3 charts.
For the M15 chart, add the EMA200 and EMA800. The EMA 50 is option but I like it in M15.

After you have doen this and happy with what you see.. Save that Profile with your prefer...

Yes i agree with this post.
The traders thats hungry for knowledge will learn.
The PDfs are a great help but it wont give you that experience from post 1 until current post to set your mind in a certain way.
The PDFs will only help a trader only after he read the entire thread.
There are many many small posts made by noobs that a person has to read with the reply of arjuns to really understand the process to its full ability.

You know sometimes we read arjuns posts and think there was nothing really there coz he mustve said few words and...

Dear X-man

Let me say this thread has taken a shape of a family where everyone is ready to help each other to grow fast but in a consistent manner.

Well said X-man. Just seeing the gist of something doesnt create a whole lot.

For a building to be strongly built, needs to have a good foundation. Yes, I agree that one has to first go thru & study the entire thread. As u said some noob questions were there & were answered by Master Arjun & ppl like u & others clear so many doubts which generally all newbeebies have.

So really all PDFs will be of immense use once the foundation is beautifully laid.

Thanks my dear bro.

Actually I sort of treat this system like a system I use to trade a few years ago..I may also have wider stops than what we usually use in here at times as well..
What I usually do is use the 10ema as an entry and exit for a trade..
Once I'm in the trade I look for price to close back across the 10ema and then if the next bar takes out the high of that bar +2-5pips..I'm usually out..
At times I may keep a trade a bit longer if I were to see a strong resistance area above it that will put it back on the right side for me again..

This is an example:
2 things...
1. I didn't actually take this trade..
2. It always looks wonderful after the fact, lol..

so doing this in real time live is totally different as you have to conquer your psychology while in the trade of hanging on to the trade with out being shaken out..

Hope I made sense, lol

Cheers,
Adrian

Hi,

Not sure if I understood you correctly. But in case you want to know how to re-size the MT4 charts window size, see the attached ... step by step instruction.

Remember to save that created profile for each currency pair your trade.

Hope this will help you learn to observe the price action for same currency pair in 3 differeent timeframe in realtime. You have the option to change H4 or H1 to D1 anytime you want and it is important at the start of trading day. Remember Arjun' post on what he does everyday.

Good Trading next week. Try catch EU ... potential for big move.

Attached below are methods I use.
1) the R-multiple method I use mainly for intraday trading using H1 amd M15 TF.

2) the percentage protection method I use for short swing trading usually last 2_3 days and managment is done using H4 TF, this means I wait for H4 to closed and move my protective stop using the H4 close/low/high.

I prefer this mechanical management methods as it help me mitigate and overcome the psychological weakness when I have open trades.

See attached chart example.

Hi ALL,

Next week 44 has only 3 trading days to close the month of October.

Looking at the MN and W1 charts of these two ccy pairs, I see interesting Candle Sticks 'CS' patterns.
For Big Picture planning, for the coming week 44 to 48, there will be potential big moves for these two pairs. Swing and Position traders will be glued to their charts from next week and following very closely the D and try latch on the moves early and build up positions progressively.
The market move in waves, if you see the waves and know how to ride them with proven money management and position sizing strategies, you will be in for a good year end bonus.

Trade Well!

Hey Emmanuel7788..

Thanks for explaining your methods

That's one thing I think as a trader that we could spend forever trying to have a management scenario for each individual trade and have so many different ways of going about it but if you can get a method that takes a person and his psychology out of the equation is great..that's why I like the idea as you have of waiting for a bar to close such as the 4hr method as a lot of times if we just waited for the bar to complete it would carry on in our direction rather than jumping out while the bar is active..

Not sure if you know Mike in James16 thread but he uses a 2 bar trailing stop method a lot as another MM way of trailing his trades and he does really well with that as well..

Cheers,
Adrian

Exercise is very very very important. we need our blood to flow to our brains. Sometimes when i sit too long infront of the PC things start to get blurry. I leave the PC i take a walk , i skip , do push ups maybe go play squash. when i get back i feel a lovely lovely good energy flowing through me and then i see things better

we even forget how to breathe.
Always breathe. take deep long breaths. fill you lungs with that air. and then when you release the air release all the negativity and bad energy.
