Hi gg53,

Thanks a lot for your great indicator, I really like currency strength indis.

Would you know why on one broker the 1440 time frame works on the other it shows lines over the 0 center...
I went to the options and had 10000 bars on chart..so it is not that...

Is there something I am missing....

Thanks for the Currencies indicator. It shows AUD/JPY as the current divergent pair.
The G8 placed horizontal levels at +1/-1 to serve as guidance for divergent pairs.
Your previous charts have lines at 4.3959 (eur/usd) and 70.5619 (eur/jpy)
Do you manually apply the lines? Any significance in chosen levels?
I've just used +5/-5 in the attached chart.

gg thank u its working fine on single pair now.... however it does not draw horizontal lines on single pair... which it does when all currencies set to true...

If I am not mistaken currency strength indis are calculating in same way as moving averages.
That is lagging beyond a price.
In trading, you have to be defensive and aggressive at the same time

Given that we are using the currency strength indicator to find what currencies/pairs are trending the most strongly in the session and then using volume indicators to pick when they are likely to move in the opposite direction, it doesn't matter that we are using a lagging indicator in this instance.

The "Dynamic levels" are calculated and drawn automaticaly by the indicator based on total market view.
For single pair view (AllCurrencies=false) there is no "Dynamic levels" - this is by design. Maybe I should re-think this design.

If I understood your problem correctly - you don't have the same history data or missing history from one of the brokers.

There is a minimal use of MA (tfu...) in this indicator compared to others that I've checked - and yes, it's lagging.
But the point is the way we are using it to "predict" future currency move.
I'm rarely using the famous "cross" - I'm using the fact that if a currency is "too high" or "too low" - it is bound to "fall" or "climb".
It's very much like you are using Stochastic "Overbought" or "Oversold".
Read the "Spaghetti" posts for the reasoning and the "prediction" logic behind it.

Thanks for constructive response.I downloaded and installed Gadi OBV1.3
I am little confused about time frame.
What would be most appropriate TF to look at.
I tried reading your method which I understand the principle breakout of range zone(killing zone) to either UP or Down.
Donchian (father of trend following with breakout copied by turtles)used similar concepts.

put the ex4 file in sub-directory /expert/indicators/ and restart MT4, you should find it in 'custom indicators' using the navigator.

I'm trading VOLUME and not PA.
Donchian is based on PA.

I'm NOT using "Trend Folowing" - I try to "predict" the market and not running after it.

MT4 does accept ex4 extentions.
Put the indicator in .../experts/indicator directory and RESTART your MT4 platform.

The "prediction" is actually working...
Post #693 (live) is in profit now. Surprise !!

And if you where following the "correlation" issue you should be in profit trading the EURUSD also.
