What do you mean by "anybody serious"?

The reasons that made me to migrate:

Better strategy tester. It is now nearly perfect. I've checked quite a lot of EAs in forward tests and compared to MT5 backtests and the results are almost identical. MT4 shows much worse forward/backtest discrepancies.

Position management. The removal of hedging makes it much easier to manage the positions when only one per pair can be open at a time.

Better reports - both trading and optimization.

Better MQL Editor.

And after that you can repeat for how many years are you coding in MQL5?

you guys do realize that when mt5 becomes standard and they decide to bring-out mt6 that this cycle of bullshit will start all over again?

so far from what bits and pieces i have read of mt5 i've seen nothing that suggests it isn't perfectly fine. it seems that the biggest complainers are the same type of ignorants who don't understand what nedging is and think their world is ending because they can't deceive themselves any longer.

baseless complaints are baseless. i'm still waiting to read something that sounds legitimately problematic.

people don't like change. especially when it exposes their flaws.

Sounds like the Windows XP vs Windows 7 fuss. And starting next week, it will be Windows 8 versus Windows 7 with the same tired arguments no doubt.

What a great read I particularly like the implication that traders can only make money by hedging.... What a stupid statement. Then the idea that hedging is taking an opposite trade in the same security...... Wake up that is not hedging it is paying to go flat......

Nothing wrong with mt5. Lots wrong with most mt brokers though
