Hey i was looking o buy at that level but price never reached there, shotback up, took a loss trying to short it on th eway up, thinking it was gonna come back down.

that would be true good looking if we were trending unfortunaly we are not 45 pip range will wait for confirmed trend

What do you consider a trend?

The way i see it is price was making higher lows then broke the recent high to make a higher high, up trend enough to trade the pullback. Also, price is trending upwards on the higher tf's (although it does look like the trend is slowing down).

i generally look for the obvious. but if we trend then consolidates then goes back to trending i will trade the retracement. fxpivots used the word selective i agree with that statement

Close call for my 2nd trade , nearly hit my SL , but it turn around and i got my 2nd profit for the day . YES !!!!!!!!

as you can see when market has small advancements and small pullbacks this not the trend your looking for

I see the difference here. You won't trade the consolidation where as i will. While your experience has lead you to trade clear trends, my experience leads me to trade both clear trends and consolidations.

I will show you the other reason i would consider that trade to be acceptable during consolidation. I didn't mention it because its not apart of the OPs stated style.
