Yea, I love LMAX, armada I think is similar and in estonia.
Lmax is a $10k to open account, but fxdme you can open account with $1k and use lmax.

I have being hearing the term VPS, i did my research, but I don't see advantages for a scalper that trades manually, because the reasons to use a VPS doesn't seem attractive for the people that trade manually here is why:

Speed: The VPS server is near the brooker server, but you still have to send the order to the vps server and then then vps server send the order to the broker server, isn't it slower this way?

Internet disconnect/ power outage: Either way you can't access your VPS server therefore access the market.

For automatic trading I think that the VPS is a must, but for manual trading I don't see any advantages.

I'm missing something?

You are not missing anything, and 100% correct.
In many cases VPS are overrated. The use of them does not apply to everything.

It seem to be this notions that a VPS will solve everything, bad EAs, bad trading, Bad scalping etc.. .

Regarding scalping, it has to be in a true ECN Broker and non-mt4 platform.
The ECN is a non-mt4 environment, so, even if a Brokers is a true ECN, but offers mt4, a bridge is needed to send your orders out.. all that means some type of delay.

Now, for scalping in the ECN with a non-mt4 platform, you must watch the spreads at all times. Sometimes the spreads widen and no one is trying to rip you off... it is the market nature.

You should try Universal FX, i have several accounts for over a half year and execution is really good. The new Ultimate account have very tight spreads, take a look at www.fxintel.com. I closed my other accounts at Pepperstone and Armada as the spreads are higher.

But if you really need a good scalping platform you will need to find a broker with an institutional platform and mostly high deposits...

Brokers with the tightest spreads would naturally be the best for scalping, provided that they allow it. I trade with Exness and Hotforex. They are both good. Exness is even better because they offer the smallest spreads I've ever seen, even for small traders. Neither of them accepts U.S. residents, though.

I do have my account opened up 2 months ago !
At first look everything seems nice: low spreads, fast execution, fast reaction of support.
Troubles came in when I traded the number of Lots necessary to make the bonus withdrawable :
They did make it withdrawable, but then wrote me an email saying a third party may have illegally used my account so they need a proof of my identity such as passport, bank referrence letter and proof of adress all apostiled and notarized by authority in form of HARD COPIES sent to an adress at St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I sent it there 10 days ago and still waiting for an answer.
I wrote an email to an attorney at law at St. Vincent and the Grenadines that actually told me OCTAFX was incorporated there and they do have the right to demand for hard copies to proof identity.
Some things to me appeared a little weird, such as they state the following:
"Secure withdrawal rules Since a withdrawal from a real account requires an email confirmation, no one can ever access your account but yourself. It is also required that you use the same payment details for deposits and withdrawals...", but then want you to actually send hard copies !!
-When opening the account you may upload documents which is then VERIFIED, so the verification is useless since they demand for hard copies in case you want to withdraw.
-When closing positions you might see the spread on 10 points or so depending on liquidity, but when actually closing the position, its FAR below the bid (I will upload screenshots that proof it)
also the LOT size in opening positions suddenly jumped from 0.1 to 0.2, switching forth and back, maybe that's how they try to achieve a margin call or its just an internal error
Equity is up more than 250 % compared to the start 2 months ago which you can see in my account statistics
If the letter (which is inscribed) is just being sent to a non existing adress or if they keep on investigating my account for no reasonable circumstance there will be no reason to choose them as a broker an despite very fast execution and anything else there will be fraudulent activities behind!

Well yeah the point of having VPS is for automated trading. 1.they are hosted on profesionnal grade server, so less downtime than your PC and 2.they can take trades after since they are usually located just next to the dealing center server.
Anyways, why they call it VPS and not "black box", is the simply fact it will probably host MT4 EAs, wich for HFT (high frequency trading) are useless. The trades have to be done in micro seconds not in seconds.

apparently mahifx is advertising a lower spread than oanda so not sure if that is a good scalping broker. i know for sure though, if you want to scalp, avoid FxGlory as they are not scalper friendly. if you open and close a trade in rapid succession, FxGlory will simply void the trade.

IC Markets demo server is in Chicago and the live server is in Equinix NY4 in New York. I cant tell you what latency is like from Europe but from Australia it is between 150-300 m/s which is exceptional.

The Spread on MahiFX can be seen here. It's tight, and the platform itself is pretty good for scalping
