Here's one I think FTI would appreciate, it's written by another fellow aviator John Gillespie Magee, Jr. entitled "High Flight"

While we await news of the master, maybe those who have travelled the distance with fti might like to post some of their favorite posts of fti :-)

This would be of great help to those who have joined later, the thread is VERY long and dense, a years reading. As well as the first 200 pp, what are some of the highlights of the next 1000?

It would be a great way of remembering, and a signpost for those who follow

it was this story that completely changed the way I looked at things, my light bulb (I believe it is different for all of us) moment when reading the thread was while I was reading page 88, do not ask me how or why, it just was.


I believe the whole idea behind the way fti wrote this thread was to give the people that are really ready to trade a way of understanding and surviving it all (the useful stuff from the mainly rubbish that is out there), if you are not ready then you will not be willing or able to put in the work and effort needed to benefit from what is explained here, I believe it is different for everyone hence fti saying 'do not try to carbon copy me'.


it is as simply as this 'there are no short-cuts for anyone on this journey' we can learn something from most of the pages in this thread.

Wherever you are, FTI, we miss you and we pray for you and your family. Hopefully, someone comes along to share how you are doing. It's my bad not to post much and interact during the days you were active on this thread. Was always in the background absorbing what everybody has to share. Some may have seen me logged in to this thread most of the time, (though am away), just to maintain presence in this thread which I enjoyed reading so much.

We are missing you so much, FTI. Hope there's another Leighsw to encourage you out of retirement...

Thanks Phil for resharing that great story, it has many meanings and messages.
It reinforces an insight I have of great traders such as fti and others here on ff. they show a humility, a humbleness and a kindness, a giving nature, they are not aggressive or greedy. And how does that make them better traders? I think that it is bcause they are happy with what the market gives them, they do not hang on too long for that extra bit more, if you try to take from the market it BITES!

I have another analogy, trading is like walking with elephants, fun and easy going when you are going their way, but walk across their line and you could be squashed like an insect in an instant :-)

What a nice idea, to re-animate the TAF Lounge!
But I have to say, that have been very different times with DurchAngel and me. At the moment that does not feel right for me to take the lead. I guess many people would feel or think, that I would like to use all, that fti's has given to us, to my advantage. I have found a differrent way for me to help some traders and get them started. Hopefully a more efficient way, than what a discussion forum can deliver...

However - whoever feels it could be a good idea is strongly invited to "restart" the TAF Lounge again. It would be very nice to see some postings in there again ;-)

Yea i am still stuck believe it or not....its sometime 2 steps fwd 3 steps backward....the learning never ends...

I think Niels people will think what they want to think...no one is taking Lead if anyone ask just share what you learn thats all we all can ask....
