Hi to FTI, all seniors, active and silent followers,

Just a short introduction about myself and my trading experience so far.
1. I have decided to quit my job in IT industry about a year ago, to venture in Forex trading. I give myself 2-3 years to study this course subject call 'forex trading'.
2. I am a silent follower of this thread, been reading it for 1 and half years and practising trading since then.
3. I have read the 1st 200 pages 2 times, summarize FTI manual (by Niel I believed) numerous times, AOW numerous time, books- beat the odds in forex trading, The Tunnel Thru the Air - W.D. Gann, The.Adam.Theory.
4. I have subscribe to some online course such as Hector DeVille and
Nial Fuller.
5. So far, I have lost my trading training capital by 50%, sigh !! (lucky is not a big amount)

Trading is about MYSELF, so I guess I still have a long way to go !!

Anyway, I felt extremely down after seeing some posts saying that FTI will no longer be available. Wanna express my gratitude to him. He resemble my primary school teacher, the best teacher that I have.

I pray for you and I believe you will be back.

50% down that is not good to hear, I do not have the wisdom and knowledge that fti has but I really think it sounds like your chasing a black box grail system to me, you say you have read the first 200 pages twice, but you must of missed or not realised the significance of fti's opening statement by what you have stated.




-no mentor, or course, or literature can give anyone the holy grail to the secrets of success in trading in the markets.
-"and no one, SELLS the goose that lays golden eggs, probably the eggs, but never the goose"





To me trading is a journey through self discovery, self reliance and practice, practice and more practice until you realise that it is just you and the market that can can make or break you.


We do not know whether fti will post here again or not, it has just been a while since his last activity here, all we do know is he was very ill and no one has heard from or about him at the moment, all we can do is pray for him and his family at this time.

i believed that
Learning is a Journey Not a Destination
indeed if some one suddenly disappeared without any news
surely make uneasy
good or bad if there was news more comforting
unfortunately, no one who knew him directly
everyone in this thread knew each other only via forums
except Jaro and gefx know each other by face to face

and whatever happens
good or bad I'm sure FTI always in our hearts

Thanks, wishing the same for you and yours. I share your concerns and hopes. As for the thread I'd rather see it retired if something has happened to Fti, I'm trying to balance my feelings for continuation in his honor vs. fears that Fti's teachings would mutate without his oversight, and his memory fade in the pages to come without his presence.....

It would be nice to hear from someone, but it seems all attempts have failed.

I also share your concerns and hopes regarding fti, I also totally agree with both of you that it may be best to retire and preserve the thread for others before it gets trashed.

I think it is wise decision to get the this thread locked for further posting till fti comes back and decide to re-open.

It's best if this thread is locked unless fti comes back, provided it stays open for reading.

Locking is the only way to protect it from hijack by inflated egos and promotional interests - not thinking of anything in particular, just fearing what is likely in an open forum. On the other hand locking will cut off legitimate discussion that will promote understanding, sigh.

The thread represents tremendous value for those who are ready to learn, letting new comers benefit would be in fti's spirit in starting this thread.
