I really need to be more disciplined with my entries. For now it has been very choppy. I mean my entries was not 'tight'. I am out of sync with the market. I need to be more accurate with my entries.

"more accurate" is the right term.

Because of the nature of trading, it is almost impossible to have a consistent rate of return, it will remian somewhat choppy but these chops should not cross pre-defined bounds.

I should be more careful next time as the "too big" drawdowns i had was totally unnecessary..plus i intend to make significant profits out of the account..If i have a bigger account lets say 10m..i would probably trade with lesser risk.

This is how I think. Thing that most happens is a sudden up or down move and then the retrace, normally 50% retrace.

Now if one's sls are tight, this move could either be in favor or against. If in favor, good. But if not, a second try and a third one or even a fourth one. You may lose lets say 5 pips per lost trade, but re-enter when pa covers 10 to 15 pips against your direction. Now if it retraces 50% from whatever level, you are back at BE. The only thing is how many tries you can afford and how many you miss out.

If you want to restict your risk per trade to whatever small percentage of your account, there is at least one broker out there. The minimum you could trade with them is $1, that also with 1:50 leverage.

I opened some stupid positions..at the moment...its night here(i need to sleep) and i should not have opened it because london has closed and the market is not really moving...but the break to the downside should be relatively quick if it was in london session.

See how the market was crawling up...it went for supply up there..now somebody should be selling relatively big..but then london is already closed..probably not as big...

You haven't done enough research. Do you think computers was easily made?? Do you think Thomas Alva Edison easily create the lightbulb filament, the voice recorder and the camera out of thin air? Do you think any spectacular invention in this world was easily made? Do you really think success would just comes rolling up to you when you finished reading several hundred books?

I am sorry but haven't you seen enough human marvels? Ever heard of the wright brothers? Ever been in an aeroplane? All the invention i mentioned was big and important to humans but to succeed in trading was probably 1/10 in scale of difficulty when compared to these endeavours. When every human being thought it was impossible these people made it possible...you think it was easy?

Please do yourself a favour and buy thomas alva edison, wright brothers, albert einstein biography/life story so you may actually understand the price to pay to really fly above others.

Do you know that humans are an extremely smart special being which god made? Please do your research on what we as humans have accomplished. I am afraid if you just go on like this you would be insulting yourself without you even know it. God made us special but you are saying otherwise.

One more thing, prices which we trade off has been proven possible to be traded sytematically...Also do you know that some of the big banks have their own bots? Do you also know there are people taking millions out of the market? I am talking about a real passionate trader who would do anything including going to the gym just to take care of himself so he may trade better etc... not just an average joe trader seeing dollar signs everytime he sat to trade.

You just need to do your research or invent a way to trade and please read more of human history. Remember that we are capable of many things.

Please also research on our origin. Btw, i am no darwin guy. I am sorry if i said anything bad. I am just sharing my experience for the benefit of all.

I was obviously impressed by how you doubled your original demo account, and this live account seems to be heading in the same direction. I wish you all the best with it. It certainly is inspiring to see someone building their account in a structured way.

I was wondering if you would be willing to shed some light on how you trade and how you see the market? So you trade naked charts? Looking for tight entries at supply and demand zones and then leave it run for big winners?

If you consider your system private that's cool and certainly understandable but if you are willing to share any of your insights I would love to hear.

Somebody defended 1.28800...they bought big..I was late to come in..but still i suspect this move will be sustained until the next nearest resistance...at least a few hours..

Thank you for your kind words. The thread's aim was to stop traders from doubting whether it is possible to profit from the market or not..I have seen so many scams here and there with false promises..so intend to stop that by inspiring people to trade the 'right way'.

First you must read every trading book there is and never stop educating yourself because there will always be something which can be improved...educate yourself about the market structure which we are trading..Stay hungry,stay foolish(Steve job,one of a great man).

Its prices that we are trading...it is about fundamental...but its not about news. Its the results of news... When trading..i always look for traces of orders..for example, a major player(with inside information) are looking to execute a very very large orders at a level..what will the price do? The price will reject from a level..

Okay that was the basic...you would need to be able to do a multitimeframe analysis...This is very hard to do at first..but after thousands of hours in front of the chart you will develop an intrinsic ability to in a way forecast where the price will next(not necessary to be accurate). You will learn this after viewing many charts on different timeframes..on all time frame..you would know which tf you are supposed to 'believe' at a given time. Remember the market goes up and down in patterns. You just need to be in-sync with it. H4, H1, 15m, 5, and 5m are a must.

Okay, next is mm. This is where most good traders failed..myself included. Before, I was a fairly good trader because i have read many book, tried almost all systems, indicators, ea and have watched the charts for so many hours but still i failed..Why?? It was because i have a skewed expectation...i expect to make too much too soon...and avoiding to take risk of ruin into account. If you lets say want to make 100% per year that is almost very easy..Just an order per day with 2:1 rr or more would be enough...Get rid of all those indicators.. I am only using ma, sweetspots(00,20,50,80) high and low and adr indicators..

All of my entries are based on the immediate trend and my trades usually last for a few hours or a few day at max..at least for now..Probably i would want to trade bigger tf one day..

Anyone can do what i did...but few would sacrifice the long hours needed to study the market..but it is very possible.

But generally, if a friend tell me that they want to trade..i would advise against it. Why? Below was a post i posted on a discouraged traders thread.

Actually in the real world when people tell me that they want to trade i would advise against it. The learning curve was brutal and the sacrifices they would have to make to succeed is just paramount...just seriously not suited for the average joe. Peace.

Your brain has the ability to calculate and analyse stuff even when you feel you are not analysing. Its called subconcious mind? That is what you get after thousands of hours just watching the charts. You become something like a prodigious savant in trading. Do anything repeatedly and consistently and you will eventually get it. Its deliberate practise but also it surely will not be easy. In fact not many would have the persistence to do it.

Shane: Yes you can't use it alone. You need to understand the price. I personally am using stochastics just for visual thingy but i can trade naked too...haha heck actually stochastic is not important, i just like it. But one thing that is very important is moving average. Pivot point works too as well as 00,20,50 and 80 round number or some people called it sweetspots. Why does sweetspots works? Well because of futures and options. Anyway understanding the market structure will help your trading immensely eventhough sometimes these kind of technical books can be full of jibby jabba jibby but yeah you still need to learn it anyway.

Its not necessary to understand everything but it sure is better and would help a lot even if you are scalping 3 to 6 pips.

To be an excellent trader you must have a balance in your life. Exercise regularly, eat a balanced diet, drink a lot of plain water and sleep at least 6 hours per day. Socialise with people often so you don't miss out life but avoid excessive time wasting.

Move your a*s often from your trading chair...its not good to remain for way too long..Take a 10m break every hour and just walk. I usually walk back and forth in front of my laptop and i would watch it every minute or two. and keep walking. Treat your trading professionally.

When i was in my seclusion mode for about one year i studied the market day and night. Now it doesn't feel right if i don't study something about the market. Well stay hungry, stay foolish but make sure you take care of yourslef. One more thing, always think about the creation of the world. The beginning of everything....the creator etc.

I am very ambitious but if i failed its alright because i have done my very best. I have no regret whatsoever
