Hi Gibril,
From the above charts you have posted earlier, I noticed that some of your entries are not in agreement with the Basic Setup rules. i.e. some entry price was still below ema200 and/or ema10 for your LONG entry and vice versa for your SHORT entry. Also seems like you were taking the entry before the candle closed.

Really curious and appreciate if could clarify on how you took those entries.

Since I'm still a PRE-Newbie, so sorry if I see it differently. Tks sir!

My friend...the thread has not evolved into somethingelse.that was a basic setup with indicator.YOu dont have to read the entire thread....you can stick that one method and still can be very profitable...trust me.

I like pizza,my brother doesnt....He likes pastas...i dont like them....its the choice my friend....few people need different things,,,,i want this thread to serve every soul out there....position traders/scalpers/long term traders etc....pick the one you like and master it...dont get connfused with these new posts brother...just concentrate on the BASIC setup....you will be very profitable...

I was thinking e/u went up 70 pips in London session, only bounced 20 pips when adr was reached, and started shooting up again.

1, E/Y H4 chart was a level to watch out for at RN.
2, M5 showing possible entry, I wasn't there to take it.
also, in my obversation when adr is reached and price goes to the next RN, you can almost take it to the bank.

You have THREE questions....... all about early entry. I'm going to answer only ONE........... as the other two is just a repeat of this answer.

Basically, what I understand U asked, WHY I pull the trigger, before price cross 10EMA........... ?

As mentioned in my post earlier....i use 3 step process before taking a trade. ( just like Agent OSO........lol )

This remind me of my late mother, always remind me THREE things before crossing roads

2. LOOK Right
3. Look Left Again ! Watch up for incoming Camels

First Step : 4Hr TF. What do you see in 4Hr TF. What does it tell you to do ? Bearish, Bullish, or Ranging. For the answer......look at the 4hr Chart below. This is GPS. See the forest

Second Step : Step ONE aleady decided for you which way to go. Now find the nice candle correspond with the STEP 1 signal. Please tell me the name of candle marked ( We Newbie have to learn and recognise this candle)
1hR TF Chart below. Now you see the tree.

Third Step : You saw the trigger candle, now find the BEST place to enter with very small SL ( mine is less than 10 pips), Its you prefernce to choose which you looks attrative........lol, Now you are looking at the leaf.

Note of Third Step : When you see it's about to rain, do you wait for the actual drop of rain to hit onto your head then you open an umbrealla or you do it just before the first drop of rain to fall ?

I enter before the candle close, my stop is 8 pips, Others who waited for candle to close enter one bar late, will have 18 pips SL, at that time I'm already up USD 100 bucks.

I enjoy looking at Candle Action, when it dance around Support & Resistance and around EMAs, and RNs, trying to tell me something.

If you look at 200EMA it has became a Resistance late last Friday ( prior to this 200EMA was a support ). Last Thursday Price cannot break up to BRN 0.9800. Price already inform me something since last week ( first hand info, just like insider trading....lol))

Price is telling ME, i'm too weak to break north, BRN is my ceiling, now I have 200ema is hitting hard on my head, no more room for me to jump up......... What option do Price have now ?............. except.......... go South.....lol

If you repeat this story everyday in your head, you will make so much pips. Just pick up any pairs.........then Start with STEP 1.....

Since I'm still a PRA-Newbie -this is what Trigger candle is about.

Definition:

The XXXXXX is a single candlestick and a top reversal pattern. It is very similar to the YYYYYY. In case of the XYYYYYY, the opening and closing prices are identical whereas the XXXXXX has a small real body.

Recognition Criteria:
1. We see it at a market top or during an uptrend.

2. It is characterized by its small real body at the upper end of the trading range and it is located above the trend. The color of the body is unimportant.

3. It has a lower shadow, which is at least twice the height of the real body.

4. There is either no upper shadow or a very short upper shadow.

Explanation:
The XXXXXX is a bearish reversal pattern. It signals a market top or a resistance level. Since it is seen after an advance, a XXXXXXX signals that selling pressure is starting to increase.

The low of the long lower shadow indicates that the sellers pushed prices lower during the session. Even though the bulls regained their footing and drove prices higher by the finish, the appearance of this selling pressure after a rally is a serious warning signal.

Important Factors:
Ideally; the lower shadow of the XXXXXXX must be two or three times the height of the real body.

However, a long lower shadow may not have to be twice the height of the real body in the real life conditions in order to signal a reversal.

The pattern is more perfect if the lower shadow is longer.

The YYYYYYYY is a more bearish signal than the XXXXXXX and it is also more reliable than the XXXXXXXXXXX.

We need a confirmation of the reversal on the next bar for a more definite proof about the reversal of the uptrend.

This confirmation may be in the form of a red candlestick, a large gap down or a lower close on the next candle.


WHO AM I ( I mean the candle, not me as person....lol)

Guys I have a dilemma.

I live in Los Angeles. It's a terrible time zone for trading. I have two options really. Either I can stay up VERY late, and trade the first 2-3 hours of the london opening. Then wake up 7 hours later, and trade the remainder of the US session.

Or I can go to bed early, wake up early, trade the 4 hours of the US London overlap, and continue until the US session closes.

Which do you think would be a better idea?
