What happened................. Where is the trade explorer?..........BOOM?

They say "You fall only if you ride". I got five or six margin calls on my demo explorer. This is part of the game.

I think 1:10 risk/reward has better success chance. Let's try with that.

I am currently trying to finish my system...its almost finish but had to tweak many things including optimising. I will start a new live trading account once i finish. Stay tuned

Good to hear from you bro.

Make sure you complete your homework before resuming. No need to hurry. Do let us know what you learned from previous experience or if you feel like having a concuring opinion.

Yes, am trying to strengthen my mental...emotion control is a must if i want to succeed. I am a fairly good trader but emotion made me an account blower. I am trying to set some rules so i don't overtrade. Setting up rules is easy but following them is hard. Hence, i need the rules to be very logical so my mind/emotion don't try to outsmart myself..hehe Many traders will give up thinking they had given it all...but mark my word they had not. Period! If you think you had given your all but still fail you don't belong up there. To be successful in trading you would need to give your all consistently until you reach a point where not working hard and studying etc doesn't feels right. If you want to be successful stay foolish.
I believe successful trading has many levels/variations...some consider themselves to be successful when making 20% per year on a 100k account..some less and some..more.. Go for something you know you want. Something you are passionate about. Some short term some medium and the rest...Just go and do a research on what you believes in.

I aspire to be among the best short term trader in the world. Somebody like Paul Rotter comes to mind. Everything i need are already in front me. I just need to take it. Simple but not easy.

Does anyone here believes a scalper(taking 2-6pips) can be a successful trader?

Does anyone have any information regarding succesful scalpers?

To date i have only heard about Paul Rotter.

The only standard for research and work was "the world class." You had to strive to be among the best in the world, or else it did not pay to try.

Don't listen too much of what he says. He flips big orders. Creates demand and then sells. Creates supply and then buys. Sometimes gets trapped.

Why is your Trade Explorer not viewable anymore? I thought you could successfully double any demo account and did it many times? Why hide the Trade Explorer now?

There is a commercial service by Kevin Lowry, hosted at CompassFX. He uses tight stops of between 4pips to 10pips (at most) and scored very high percentage winners. His first Take Profit is between 6pips to 12pips so that qualifies as scalper.

One of the best...well there are so many type of successful traders..One of them is Dan Zangers. Great insights on trading..Listen how he said the learning period was brutal! That was almost exactly the same thing for me...Its just that it was more brutal for me, literally..

mmaker: I will start a live probably by next week...kind of nervous though...FYI, i have developed a scalping system as well as a day trading 30pip thingy..I am looking at probably 10% per day risking about 3% per trade or less.

Mingary: I advise not buying any expensive system..heck don't buy any system at all.but if the trader is very very successful and shows his live trading account then probably yes.

Its definitely possible .
Have plain simple approach .
Dont complicate .
Follow your plan and there are doors of regular and consistent money will open to you.
Dont give up --no matter what..

Addiction is a difficult thing to overcome on your own. As a suggestion try this:
You shouldn't need to place more than three trades max daily.
Place three (3) items (salt shakers, coins, coffee mugs, etc.) on your trading desk, either right or left side. At the initiation of each trade, move one item to the other side of your desk. At the completion of placing your third trade (including target and stop loss), stand up, push your chair in, turn away from your desk and leave for 1/2 an hour. Set a timer if need be, but get up and leave. Think about something else - exercise, go for a walk, call a friend, whatever. At the end of the 1/2 hour, come back to your chart and look at your trades. Take the time to analize what went right and what went wrong. Be sure to write these things down! and leave them for the next day. Read them as though you are having a discussion with a teacher before you begin the next trading day cycle.

If you can do this you will 1)start controlling your overtrading and 2) become a much stronger and consistant trader.

Don't know why but I have a lot confidence in Supertrader. I think he will make it.

Super, just one advise based on lessons I have learned........... keep your initial investment as little as possible and trade with tight stoplosses. Market knows the rest.

Mgsterling: Hi mgsterling, thanks for your advise. I have a system which needs that, the system takes about 30pips tp per trade. But i also have a scalping method which would have 10-20 plus trades per day
