I use a indicator which is show heiken ashi movement in different time frame which is helpful in this method and it save time to clicking in different time to watch movement.Hope it will benefited for those who follow this trading strategy.The indicator name is "recent candle" created by hanover,you will find in forexfactory forum.

Many thanks for bringing this indi to this thread, I found it and here is the link if others are interested http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=159644 It does look like it could assist with Hugh's swing HA & Stoch method.

I suppose any indicator that helps make life easier is good but try not to take up too much screen space with stuff that won't help. We're only working with two timeframes here and once you've moved to the hourly (or whichever lower timeframe you are using) then you're on it until the setup is invalidated so you don't need to know what's happening on the daily. Just my thoughts on it.

HB - on the Daily, should we wait for Stoch to be in OB/OS before considering a HA change, or should we not consider the Stoch and just drop to the H1 and look for an entry there (using Stoch and HA change there, of course)?

You can be less fussy with the signal from the daily and it is not necessary to wait for the stochs to be ob or os.

Hi Hugh,

I've been experimenting and testing the CCI as an addition to the Stochs on the H1, (bacause I personally prefer it, 'doesn't mean it's nessasarily better!!)
I think the stoch is better for the original entry - as per the system.
A setting of 20 on the CCI shows really nice clear opporunities on the H1 chart for additional entries etc.
I have a template for stochs and one for cci and swap between them, I have also added a SMA200 to my daily chart as it helps me see the strength of trend, it's also a strong support resistance level very often.
I had high hopes for the USDJPY (as per screenshot, I've got two positions on it but i suspect it may be running out of steam.)

Looking at that chart I think you've been experimenting with hallucogenic drugs as well haven't you?

I have a question, do you know what the cci tells you? I mean how it is calculated and what it shows you?

q1, did that when I was much younger, don't really reccomend it anymore.

Hi everybody,

can you help me clarfying "wait for a valid signal on daily":

Looking at my snapshot, daily had a stoch cross.
Is that the signal or would we wait for the next daily candle to go for a colour change (as we do on the H1 level to enter)?

How do you handle it?

Hi Frenchie, yes, wait for a heiken ashi candle to close green and then move to the hourly. Looks like a nice setup.

Eurusd not quite broken the 100 sma yet but it's trying! Any longs should still be in place at the moment though, stops below the ma.

Gbpjpy seems to be doing a little better. This was pointed out by a member on my site.

Eurusd still flirting with the 100 sma but not broken yet.

Gbpjpy looking better although pulling back, maybe a chance to add on?
