This system is very simple to use and gets very large moves very early so getting huge pips is very easy.

One thing though it gives some fakeouts as well, especially on lower tf, if anyone can help me reduce the fakeouts much appreciated.

I have attached indicator which plots the moving average of the last 3 pivots on chart.

Download and place pivots indicator in indicator folder.

Open any chart and place indicator.

When bullish candle opens and closes above the indicator, place buy 2 (for m15 or lower, increase for higher tf) pips + spread above bullish candle. Opposite for sell. Do not add spread for sell.

stop loss above/below last high/low.

TP: none or whatever you are comfortable with, exit when trend loses steam.

This system is an early trend catcher, can be used to trade sideways market buy moving to smaller tf.

Can be used to swing trade on h1, h4, daily or higher.

Can be used for intraday from M15 to h4.

Can be used for scalp from m1 to m15.

here is chart showing last possible trades in daily.

friday chart with scalp trades setup in M5 over 180 pips possible in just 3 trades, there were two additional trades I did not mark. If you add those max profit could exceed 250 pips.

Hi
How many trades on this set up , demo? or real account.
thks
Ignored
I only trade for 4 hours daily from Europe open, can get 2 to 4 trades per day, I stop as soon as I have met my daily target (20 pips), at times 1 trade is enough, very few negative days.

Still in demo going live in a week or 2.

After looking at this indi its basically worthless.Fast EMA would do the same.I use few filters mainly RSI and TMS watchdog.Notice how my EMA,MA cross matches with RSI and watchdog cross?
Just a confirmation.Just by itself Pivot indi is dangerous.Just my 2c
This is my basic set up In the chart.

Sorry, but what was the purpose of your post? This thread is about this particular indicator, no matter what fast EMA or any other indicator does. No need to destroy the thread at page 1 with absolutely irrelevant posts. Besides, it looks like a promising way of trading.

I wondered about that post, too.

He sounds exactly like a man who needs to start his own thread and leave this one alone.

Just to remove any confusion, I trade for maximum 4 hours in one day on the M1 TF.

My R:R is 1:2 10 pip sl (max), 20 tp at the first trade, it changes with the way the trades go. But that is part of money management and getting out when movement slows, I will not dwell on that.

The idea here is that trends can be identified very easily what one does with the trends is up to them.

I am thinking of having just one day of the week where I trade the full London session. That day I will either be very happy or very sad.

Hi,
Pivots can be calculated for any timeframe (not just those 4).

on M15 it displays moving average of pivot of last 3 M15 (cosed) candles
on H1 it displays for H1 and so on.

I hope that makes sense.

The difference is that I find it hard to get good entries on EMA (too slow to react in fast movement).

They say a picture is worth a thousand words so, heres a shot of 3 ema (green) and pivots (red) on H1 tf (EU) as seen at time of posting.

looks like this method is good for scalping the lower TFs as the thread starter said. Trade it with momentum/price action as the basis and the pivot average system as the entry trigger

Hello Kalesh,

I tried your PivotMA on my charts and it shows to be the same as a 5SMA using Typical Price and shifted +1.

I use a 3SMA shifted+3 with RSI(8)/MA(8) for my trading. This is displaced moving average used by a trader know Joe DiNapoli.

So I think your pivotMA is a good method if use consistently. Thanks for sharing your PivotMA.

Regards,
