I'm using a uk spread betting broker, not sure about in the states mate...

It's gkfx and its BRENT ICE futures

I was looking for exact same ruled applied on any trading system. Please can you provide MQL4 source code for these strategies so that if someone want to modify it then it would be possible for him/her to make some changes.

The indi just marks the swings and the last closed bars range, it was made by lionel on this thread, I don't even use it, just too lazy to remove it...

Other than that its just ema's and ma's on there... again... stuff I have been trying out as exits... don't really use them anymore, just got used to them on my charts...

If you want the buy sell indi that Lionel made, its on the thread somewhere... around page 100? with a few revisions later on....

Can I assume that the method on your first post is what I should follow. Thats the PA described along with the 50SMA line as the trend. I have quiet understood the 15M version yet. My gut feeling is that using it on the 4H and looking at resistance on Daily would be the easiest to start off.

Any tips?

I would suggest playing with the ideas and finding what works for you...

maybe you want to just take the very best looking set ups and aim for 2/1 with a higher win rate.... (h4 / daily)

maybe you're more suited to taking lots of trades and having more losers but letting the winners run all day.... (m15 commando)

maybe you want to only take engulfs after a retrace to s/r.....

etc etc.... I can't really tell you what will work best for you...

Me personally, right now, Im trading the m15, I take a lot of entries, my win rate is about 35% and I get about 4/5 to 1 RR...

I like it because i'm half expecting my entries to lose, so theres no fear of losing....all I know is I have to let them run to the end of the session, or to the strong levels.

Then I have the odd day where everything wins and runs to 7 or 8/1 R/R...

It's really just about confidence and managing your risk/reward...

Thanks for your response. I was thinking the same, I was thinking of using the daily chart to identify SR levels and then using the 4H chart to make long shor entries based on the following:
1. The engulfing candles
2. The 5 candle low/high alternate setup.

I did have a look at the 15 min method but I think psychologically I wouldn't be ready to loose 65% of my trades. I think it would be better if I had 2:1 RR with higher win rates.

Anyways, I have very please with the simplicity of the method and would definitely be positing questions in future.

For now I have a question, in the 5 candle method does the signal candle has to be matching bullish or bearish for long and short trades.

well, it doesn't have to be matching.... but, we are looking for buyers to be coming back into a bull trend, at the end of a retrace... so that is represented best by a bullish close near the top of its range..... or a bullish close engulfing the previous price action....

Why does none of these system starter ever post any Trade explorer. It would help in seeing if these systems work or not.

Hi Guys,

I am trying out the LHDT_COMMANDO-V-01 indicator. I have a few questions:
1. Is this the latest version of the indi? If not, can anyone kindly point me to the newest version please?
2. I am getting some weired signals for which I can't figure out the reason. Please let me know if there are rules for these signal somewhere in the thread which I might have overlooked. OR possibly my setup of the indi is wrong?

Help with this is much appreciated. Thanks.

I am sorry my sincere apologies. Reading the posts again, I realize where I made a mistake. When referring to "starters", I thought we were talking about newbies. I am sure it has worked for 60 or he wouldn't have posted here. I am also very sure that it has worked for many people hence I am trying to see if I am able to learn the system.

Hi Kash...

you are falling into the forex get rich quick mistake... has there been anywhere where it says an arrow is a signal to trade?

Trading only starts to work for yOU... after hours and hours of hard work and effort.

The arrows on the indi just mark the fractals, they're not entry signals....

I hope you're not skipping through the thread trying to short-cut to riches... because its a bad habit to be getting into if you want to earn a living trading....

Hi 60,

Thanks for the warning! I am not planning on getting rich doing Forex.....
I understand the downside and the risks.......

My mistake, I thought the indi was designed to highlight the rules that we have for this system. So, I was wondering if I missed any of the rules that these arrows were showing.
