I left IBFX because their system went down at peak trading times.....for a long time. They always had some lame excuse.

FXsol is not too bad...other then that...go ECN. There is no such thing as an honest broker....period!
I hear MB Trading is an ECN, but there are bad reviews about them, as well. Which ECN is an "honest broker", since there aren't any out there?

You will find bad reviews on every broker, without exception, doesn't mean they are all crooks.

It is a highly competitive industry and it is no effort at all for brokers to write bad reviews about other brokers on forums such as Peace Army and others.

Brokers pretending to be clients, will also right good reviews about themselves, so what can we trust?

Straight through processing I find works best for execution times/slippage etc.

Find some guys you trust and ask around for a good broker would be my idea.

I don't know anyone who trades Forex. I don't even know anyone who is a day trader. I'd like to start a thread (but I can't because I am a Junior Member), regarding who has been able to build a sizeable account at which brokers.

I appreciate the sentiment that there are probably a lot of brokers bashing one another here just to discredit them. But that doesn't help us traders any.

So basically, I just want to go back to stocks. Problem is they have that one locked in a bag so you can't daytrade without $25k (do they teach that in kindergarten now, so that kids have a clue what they are up against?).

That's my situation, and will be for a long time, thanks to the daytrading rules. Today is a great example of how not being able to daytrade can hurt you. God only knows what tomorrow will bring.

Well, I'd love to trade Forex, but I'm pretty skeptical at this point trying to pick a broker. I read a LOT of reviews on a lot of sites. Pretty sad.

Mate, I was in your same situation.
Back in early days when I was trading with robots and needed reliable execution, it did my head in looking for the perfect broker with no bad reviews and someone I could feel 100 percent comfortable with.
EVERY broker has bad reviews, forget looking for the perfect broker where no one has ever said anything bad about them, it will do your head in trust me. Seriously, brokers trash each other all the time and have been caught out writing bad reviews about others and good reviews about themselves because the review sites trace the IP address to their office. Forex Peace Army site has caught them out countless times.

I also used to use Zulutrade when it first came out.

Check out some of the brokers used on Zulutrade as a great start. Over there, brokers have to handle large numbers of orders because there are traders automatically following signal providers and the brokers need to be able to handle the execution numbers of many traders at the same time.
Go with a straight through processor. Check Zulutrades broker stats about average slippage etc and ask around in their forum as to good brokers if you like also.
Shit brokers won't last too long on their accepted list so they will be decent. Don't brush forex off because you can't find the holy grail perfect broker, go with a major player and a straight through processor. You will find them on Zulutrade I am sure of it. I haven't been to the Zulutrade website on well over 18 months but I would be very surprised if much has changed

In summary, what I mean is Go with the logic of "The proof is in the pudding", FORGET READING REVIEWS, many are legit but many are not, IT WILL TOTALLY MESS WITH YOUR HEAD.

By the way, I am with GO MARKETS, but I am an Aussie and want to keep my funds here in Australia, so I can't help much for other foreign brokers.

I disagree with you. lots of stuff has been done to increase slippage issues - afterall brokers did not benefit from it, as followers and zulutraders tend to move accounts to the lowest slippage. i suppose one has to be with the system to actually know it better, it is different if you are looking from outside of the box. nonetheless, i continue to eat the pudding - sometimes less other days more, you know how it gets with fluctuality and all.
