futurespec, i am using indicator v1.3.1 and there seems to be a minor bug in it, when i set value of mbarsclose zone to 3 or less then it does not show any horizontal and vertical lines on EURUSD chart while on other pairs its working fine....

i think there is some issue... which is with eurusd pair only.

i think there is some issue... which is with eurusd pair only.

The indicator doesn't distinguish between pairs.
Pls try EURUSD on lower TF's, same settings, and let us know the results.

i read your post on other forum.. ( has been deleted) .. i found it very useful ... you showed a position risk indicator thats lying on the idicatr side if i remeber and it showed that how you managed trade by not having sl too high and tp too low..as others do..
so if u could see into this

Isn't you setup invalid? I see 3 bars in the same direction within your killing zone (the bars with the blue arrows and the one before).
that should make your setup originally invalid, rigth?

Looking back on it, yes you are correct.
I was not paying too much attention to the consecutive bars as we are yet to determine the ideal number of bar to End the KZ.

Already mentioned a few times in this forum:
The suggested DEAFULT parameter are based on my experience on H1 & H4.

Lower TF's requirs to extend the number of "x consecutive bars" and the number of "End" bars. Logic.
That's why we externalize those parameters.

If done correctly - you will have a perfectly legal KZ - with valid breakout and still valid KZ.
I also showed that it is working on M1.

Your breakout in your posted chart would have yield much more pips because the breakout occur much earlier.

We start drawing the horizontal lines from bar #1 and not from the "Big Move" bar.
The lowest volume within the correct KZ is a bit higher than drawn.

Hello all,

I have been playing around recently with a volatility squeeze/breakout indicator written by a friend. I thought it was looking quite hopeful until I tried the Gadi breakouts on this thread!!

I am currently in a GBPJPY trade that is up 100 pips!

If you look at the attached chart, you can see how much more "early warning" you get from the Gadi compared to the Squeeze.

A while back I came across a trendline indicator that would initiate a market order when price would cross the line. It could be helpfull to us if we could draw the upper and lower lines on the gadi obv and have an order initiated from there.

I will search around to see if I can find it. We may be able to edit the code to work in the indicator window rather than the chart window.

Just a thought, I do not want to offend our great coders out there.

Futurespec

In light of GG53's clarification (post 277) should the chart in my post 274 be showing a white line where the most recent red line is, marking the start of the next KZ?

Does the indicator wait until the KZ is determined before placing the white line, or does it wait until the Big Move has been determined then place it on the next candle?
