GBP/USD- What has moved it 84 pips?

What has moved GBP/USD 84 Pips? There wasn't any specific news. Just Draghi spoke about EUR and GBP started to move along with EUR!

84?? More like a hundred!! He's got magic tongue.
OK, seriously, the same violent upswing on many pairs. Could be a change in risk appetite. It's like women. Don't try to understand, just smell the flowers while you can.

Doesn't matter what or why it moved. Still a good trade long.

Because there was a massive buying. It is silly to think that one specific. On TV they often make statements like "Stock Market closed lower today on rumor of rising oil prices" or "Stocks are down today after Microsoft Q4 earnings" or some crap like that and they are wrong, because markets don't fall, because one company reported earnings and certainly not because oil.

Looking for reasons is just wrong. The only reason why it moved up is because there was a massive buying. Why there was a massive buying - it does not matter, because it will not give you any help knowing it and because that reason that you hear is most likely to be wrong. Finding the true is nearly impossible.

It may be just some huge companies converting their international profits into GBP by selling USD.

The reason you are most likely to find will have nothing to do with the market going up and you will falsely believe that it does. One is true, there was lot of buying at that info would be enough to trade.

More buyers than sellers.... I know it sounds simple, but it's simply true.

Look at the Daily and 4 hour charts.

The 4 Hour has been going up the entire month of August.

Now it is September and the markets are ready to start making bigger daily swings. This was only one of them. Anything can happen.... and these moves usually start out with a slow down day followed by a strong finish.
