There is a message there ;-)

On the trade example you see that Robert Gordon did not buy on bottoms and sold on tops. He bought on retracements and sold at the end of a cycle, no matter the price.

I think that is key to understanding Gann. He was not some guru who bought at the low and sold at the top. He bought at the start of a cycle and sold at the end.

Anyway, they totally missed the boat on that analysis.
They completely forgot about the flooding of the Mississippi river. That is what Robert was banking on.
That flooding came under a certain astronomical aspect.
The same way I predicted corn and wheat etc. prices a couple of weeks ago.
Robert knew a crop failure would lead to higher prices.

So he knew prices would go up, all he had to do is buy the dips.

See anything peculiar about that title?

If you figure that one out, you see that there is a 3-fold correlation between the title and the main character Robert (Bobbie) Gordon.

Tunnel Thru Air looks more then a tunnel for planes.. I read somewhere like astrological aspects create energy when they happen but such energy need a tunnel to reach us (earth).. This tunnel is Midheaven and ascendant in intradey aspects when these two points conjuct or opposite with the planetary bodies of the aspects......

But i think you mean something different and more general.. Why not share it with us

I broke probably a lot of Gann's trading rules and I just happened to have lost almost all my August profits which was about 38% of my account. Sux but oh well, at least I got time to study more.


Venus enters Leo tomorrow. There's a high and low news which are just minutes before it but I'll be looking for something here and if it happens, I just might be on the right track.

Watch the declination of the Moon



Knowledge of lunar cycles is one of the most important skills for an astro-trader to acquire. There are several types of lunar cycles, and by working with them individually and in combination we can gain key insights into potential turning points in the markets.

The cycle of lunar declination is vital to consider. Declination is comparable to latitude, which is the north/south coordinate system for measuring locations on the surface of the earth. But while latitude is used to help pinpoint earthly positions, declination is projected onto the celestial sphere, and gives us north/south locations of the planets and other objects observed in the sky.

Declination is measured in degrees north and south of the celestial equator, with an object on the celestial equator at 0° declination, an object at the celestial north pole at +90° declination, and an object at the celestial south pole at -90° declination.

Astronomically, the declination of the Moon is computed by adding the declination of the Sun (which can vary as much as 23.44° from the equator) to the latitude of the Moon (derived from the difference between the Moon and the Lunar Node, with a range as much as 5.14°). The maximum monthly declination of the Moon can be as much as +28°35'; the minimum declination can be as much as -28°35').

During the monthly (27.32 day) cycle of lunar declination, the Moon will move across the celestial equator heading north, reach its point of maximum northern declination, head back south and cross the celestial equator again on its way to its point of minimum southern declination, and then return to northern movement, heading back toward another crossing of the celestial equator.

At any location on earth, the closer the Moon is to being overhead, the stronger its tidal effects, so in the northern hemisphere when the Moon reaches maximum northern declination (in the sign of Cancer and closest to our own geographic latitude) we can expect it strongest influence. From the astro-trader's perspective, however, the key points to watch in the declination cycle are the crossings of the celestial equator with the Moon at 0° declination as well as the extremes of northern and southern declination each month.

While these dates each month don't always bring significant market turns, the effect of the lunar declination at those times adds some extra energy to the astrological mix, and when these points in the declination cycle coincide with other astrological factors, they can provide useful confirmation of potential changes in trend.

Ilovepippin, I was wondering if you could expound on that thought further? I have read TTTA twice and have studied all of Gann's material for many years now. Is this a veiled reference to the theoretical veiled title "From the lunar return, looking back to his mother" ? What is it specifically about Bobbie that is significant?

I assume these are the same rules involving Neptune the Bonnie Lee Hill wrote about in her essay on the book? I am curious what Neptune aspects you saw this year that could help predict this summer drought? Is it the February 7 trine between Neptune and Saturn, just before saturn turned retrograde?

Okay. That is not what the title means at all. The system with which Gann converted letters to numbers is quite different.
If you do it right it will give you 2 numbers, these numbers stand for planets and cycles. It also connects to Bobbies horoscope. Read Sepharial's work for that. Bobbie was the beginning of a new cycle, a new age. He was a special child.
However, for this we may better open another topic.

For the weather predictions there were 2 significant indicators. Indeed a neptune-jupiter aspect on the mundane chart (not according to Bonnie H method) and the solar eclipse of may followed by the lunar eclipse.

last friday was a full moon what is that supposed to mean?

my stochastics daily + 4hr were oversold but the market has diverged and is heading up, are we looking for the new half moon or something? also hit a bollinger 3 std.

are we waiting for a new moon for the next reversal?

How did you know what star sign the euro was?

The market looks like it will head down from here based on the daily and weekly harts... I also see a nice head and shoulders pattern forming on the 4 hr. with the neckline sloping downward....

I am glad you thought that translation was crap... I always suspected it was but never had a good alternative. Your take fits much more naturally into what I understand of Gann's nature and mannerisms... Using the kabala cipher in "The Science of Numerology" on the title "The Tunnel Thru The Air or Looking Back from 1940" got me "35 + 73 + 56 + 35 + 31 + 36 + 82 + 25 + 66 and 1940" Which when you exclude 1940, reduces to 16 which is Mars... However, I dont quite get how the 1940 enters in and what "cycle" of Mars you are alluding to... In regards to Robert Bobbie Gordon, Bobbie is 10 (Uranus) as is Gordon and Robert is 13 (Aries).... However I fail to see how the numbers of his name, or even his horoscope are overly significant... Any help on this?

I found it interesting that this Jupiter-Neptune square was responsible for the flooding in the south east US, when BLH listed Jupiter Neptune as a bumper crop formation, and was her reason why Robert Gordon went short cotton on one of his campaigns if I remember her notes correctly. At the same time in the world, we had major droughts in a lot of the corn, wheat and bean producing regions.... was the other eclipse aspect you mentioned responsible for that drought? Any color on that would be huge...

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your grains of knowledge you have given me, and any more you can impart would be amazing... (I would do this in a PM, but as a junior member, I cannot do that yet so this is the only avenue I can use...)

Price - Longitude. I've read Mikula's book and this is where I always get confused so I end up abandoning the book.

The thing is that we need Longitude - Price and I can't think of a way to reverse the formula. But today, I kinda moved on, skipped it and found the answer on the later parts of the book. Next thing is to find the relationship that affect the currencies.

What do I need to find? For the base currency or for both?

By the way, I some studied Synodic Period Phase Plot of Venus (In other words time period of conjuntion of Heliocentric Venus & Earth) vs. EUR/USD... All roads come to same point... Although we have some bearish move on the short term, medium term movement looks upside....
