DislikedAccording to what I understand one use PA for determine and draw limits (high and low). Then we decide trade when indi line break limits.
As far as i understand this is a breakout idea centered on indi behavior more than PA. gg53 refers the prediction of indi, but do not explain wich TF is more effective to obtain best performance of prediction.
IMHO, due to a lack of more info so far, i can not call this a system. The uncomfortable thing is the use of high level of discretionary.
Meanwhile I'm testing this idea to realise if it can be used...Ignored
DislikedG.
I have read the doc from the first post, as well as all your posts in this thread several times.
Based on the charts that you have posted showing the Killing Zone and arrows, I am not positive that I exactly understand how you determine where to start and stop the boundaries of the Killing Zone, as well as the exact trade entries and why you have placed the arrows on the charts exactly where you have.
Could you please clarify those things? I suspect from reading the other posts that I am not the only one who is not clear on these things....Ignored
DislikedNo indicator, but I made an EA to backtest the system.
One year results enclosed.
I have to add that I do not believe in EAs. Having coded a lot of them I still have to find one that is profitable over a longer time period. I only use EAs for backtesting in order to get a general idea how a system performs.

DislikedI don't understnd your "BackTest".
How did you define the "Killing Zone" automatically?Ignored
DislikedThe "Killing Zone" is defined as per your rules:
Quote:
Definition:
The "Killing Zone" is identified after a big move - followed by a sequence of at least 6-7 bars Up/Down/Up/Down bars.
It doesn't matter what the size of the bars.
A sequence of more than 3 up or 3 down bars mark the end of the "Ranging" or "Killing Zone".
Why are you saying that? I understand the concept very well. And it is part of the EA I used for the backtest....Ignored
DislikedWas going to try and do the indi for you but without the correct mq4 it would appear a worthless task!
Will leave it for someone else to do for you.

DislikedCan someone refresh my memory as to how you get an indicator to go into the lower window as with the OBV indi posted above?
