cable has hit our target of 5800 at the option barrier. we do have 5820 but sessions are closing and im pretty sure whoever decided to start gunning for the barrier has booked.

a method i use to potentially find the direction of a cycle ahead of time. Showcasing it as a live call for tomorow at 1 AM GMT for GBPJPY.
the cycle's past occurence in relation to the upcoming one relates to other pairs like audusd and gbpusd as well. i wont go into detail but its a polarity method to determine positive or negative energy. GBPJPY is the head of the pack and is a nice correlative one. ill be using a 30-40 pip stop initially, with targets @ 60-100 pips.

gbpjpy stop to breakeven and 1 pip.

GBPJPY closed with +32 pips profit. (screenshot shown 40 but i closed @ 32 due to some offers entering and the market not willing yet to take stops above.
(didnt break resistance - maybe it will, but good enough for me).

I dont understand why you bought EURUSD. If there is no QE at the FOMC, it will be loser for you.

i didnt buy it yet , its a wait till 17 GMT. which is still 4 hours from now, as i put on my chart.

sure ill be reading the report too, but taking a decision based on that alone takes some sort of special skill i don't possess, and i trust my techs more than "that skill that isnt my strength which happens to be reading reports and making a decision based on them alone". market expects hints from the fed as to the US economy picking up, or it aint. but it somehow isn't always clear cut like that is it? my execution (again) later isnt based on how i interpret the minutes, but again based on the ... techs.
the jackson hole meeting next week is the key to finalizing the talk i believe.

one can definitely trade high event risks with all sort of techs. time is a great tool coupled with high event risk events.

wow i never formally updated this call on GJ long time ago
here i made a little blog post about it.
I personally only made 100 pips back when i traded this time cycle point and i was so busy intraday trading and never saw how it really looked like on the daily chart. but thats "time' for you. time gives you the 3rd eye perspective you normally are blinded to.
anyways posts below. Im not particularly fancy of holding for more than a few days but hey that might change should the hand of opportunity gives me a wave! Let winners run bla bla ... i had a 60 pip stop i was looking for 100. not 400..
it doesn't matter what the market does , what matters is how you execute your plan so i won't complain but hey, its good eye candy!

A call members got yesterday (traded today ) on GBPJPY
its GMT +7 time on the skype and u can see its well before what happened today in US session of trading. you can see the time gap between 3 am and 12 pm my time. The thing about trading "Long or short" ahead of time before the market is ever there, is to remember to analyze sentiment, and basic techs and how the structure is shaping, so that its has some backed up confluence to the trade and not a blind shot trade. same technique as used on the euro FOMC trade as well as the GBPJPY long we had.

AUDUSD shaping up nicely here for a long trade the 50% of time here. 2:1 R/R trade. 25 pip stop for 50 pip target at the falling 1x1

i think markets would selloff today. Not only based on this but take a look overall. it could occur. Dissipating positive energy, and negativity kicks in here.
What can we take for trade opportunities?

SQ9 says no support for geppy till 124.00 taking the high from 124.50
im short @ 124.666 looking for 124.00 with -35 pip stop
GDP has been negative since february 2012 and has contracted for 2 releases in a row.Olympic fever is over, back to real life. We are seeing slowing growth in emerging markets (China, India, Turkey etc..) Stocks seeing the effect in this. Sentiment seems to be risk off.
Asian indices are seeing a drop below the open today, FTSE 100 is below the weekly open with no gains thus far for this trading week, down -1 and a half %.
USDJPY is a good barometer recently for the USD. Take a look at the cascade during the FOMC minutes release. Rally gone. bye bye. Im bearish on dollar yen, (bearish pound, bearish usdyen = gbpjpy)
A lot of people are long on dollar yen. 80% based on Oanda are long. id like to be positioned on the other side

so lets see how it goes!
EDIT: Got the right natal chart now, i had a wrong pic earlier. Very negative polarity. conviction level for me 90%.

07:00-08:00 GMT closes to the downside with high vol activity, tuned to selling. we got a flag as well.

a recent pattern showing up is this. take a look at the overnight bids that drives the market up. (after London Close) and how the market progresses on during the liquid and more active sessions.

I want to be clean on my slate before the US news hits. sure it can have implications of larger profit potential towards our profit target of 60 pips towards 124 and perhaps what lies below, but ive made my share.
+43 pips CLOSED.
even if it does move 25 pips more thats the ATR extreme for the day.
