Just to save you waiting in case V has finished for the weekend it's the 8 lwma which has been in use since the beginning of the thread (nearly four years and, probably even before that..)
Follow, don't anticipate.

V not trying to hi jack your thread.. wont post any more on this.. but following is 4 hr chart.. USDX.. with Fozzy and CCI div.. and 3 week pivot mid at top and 5 week mid pivot at 8260.. i traded on 5 min for 45 points.. got a few other longs 2 which i am holding.. hope i rite

I should have paid more attention for a little longer. GU divergence just above W M2 at an identified support level 5575 that we have had on D charts for ages. A strong close engulfing the immediate range. Then a small hl on 5 min, don't know if it I would have gotten in.

EUR lots of divergence at the hammer, 4hr divergence also. But no 5 min hl so that one would definitely have passed me by even if I was watching. In the absence of an identified S level though I prob wouldn't have tried.

hi,

i'm trading a similar system with success for a while now, i'm joining an ea that you may enjoy, it will open a buy if the actual candle's bid goes higher than the previous high. it place the SL at the low of the previous candle. it got moneymanagement (somehow 0.6=3% of the account).
inverse for sell.
The ea stop after it took the trade.

it already works nicely, but if a coder had time to add a modifiable (or spread size) buffer to the stoploss would be great.

No mate not at all, 5 min lower highs - lovely. You might even convince Mrs V to go with Synergy/HA (not a betting person but if I was I'd oooh put a nickel on her switching).

Anyway post here when you like. I don't mind the reason for anyones set up as long as the entries timed from 5 min thats fine.

Mrs V didn't take this one as it was very close to news. There was lots to like about this set up even if we had bias for move down.

D resistance level, 1hr intra day higher low after divergence, candle closing above last 2 candle closes.

I posted this chart on another thread because someone entered a trade got stopped for B/E and said they did not have the courage to re enter.

I updated blog earlier as to how I saw it.

The 15 min red candles close was below the close of the previous 2 candles (been focusing on this more and more lately). Someone asked me why so as I'm prattling on about it - look at any candlestick website (there is a link on blog) and see how many of the patterns have 1 simple thing in common. Yes a close above/below previous 2 candles. This is a very simple rule of thumb to remember instead of numerous patterns.

Your target exit was also at 5 day ADR and 1.2285 identified support area (so a 15/85 trade if you're read a little of this thread) that we have had on charts posted on blog.

Don't know whether its US hol's or EUR problems overhang or both but the W pivots and SR levels have been holding consistently for some time now.

Ok. I read the first 10 pages, but I could not find a reference to 85/15 or 15/85. I am assuming that that refers to price levels 1.**85 and 1.**15. I actually use 1.**80 and 1.**20 as expected S/R levels, for the EUR only. Are you suggesting that price moves between these levels on a regular basis and is therefore a good entry and target level?

I have D W and M Pivots marked on my charts and yes I agree, market seems to be taking notice of W pivots more than daily. And S/R levels holding more than usual, guess it is the fact that more retail traders have learnt about S/R levels and are using them, Fibonaccis, Moving Averages Trend Lines etc are all "Self Fullfilling Prophecies"

London Close Trade. I looked into this after reading some of your blog, have to admit I never thought to look at the other end of the day, it looks an interesting concept, having gone back thru the charts I can not say that I would agree with the win rate figure, but it definitely looks promising.

15/85, 85/15 trade refers to the chance that gu and eur will do some stop sweeps and if rising through 85 to push through to 15. If falling through 15 to hit 85. So whether you exit partially at RN and leave some in etc etc up to the trader, worth knowing though.

I think the ranging between SR and W pivot levels is a combo of eur crises and US hol volumes.

London close trade, when rules line up is up there on %'s. A thing of beauty.

Nice SA connection, for many many reasons its a special place. We have a few issues to sort out but thats a whole other (long) discussion.

Astounding. I use the 20/80 80/20 as a minor S/R level, price allways pauses here and bounces a little, good place for entries and exits. Same effect different theories. Thanks for the info, I like to build my armoury and diversify my weapons, and as most women will tell you "it is not size that matters" at least that is what my wife keeps telling me.
