I do my pivots by hand.. dont bother with day ones..just week up..

You got 1 2 3 spotted buy hl right. It was whether to take it or not where my view differed. I just thought that the 4hr lh and 1hr flow of funds out weighted the 1 2 3 buy which was at a very good level to have considered. I could easily have been wrong the only diff is I wouldn't have worried about a missed opportunity if it didn't quite seem right.

Have been placing a greater and greater emphasis on higher TF's and 1hr flow. They didn't support a buy for me.

If you had a higher TF view for poss sells then these 15 min candles gave great opp's to enter. We didn't get in on 1st one I missed in my earlier analysis what is now a clear 1hr support becomes resistance. See red line on 1hr 2385 ish.

Just want to stress again personally I wouldn't have liked to take 1st sell of day at a W pivot and Y's lows, but a re-entry at half risk of normal is fine if candles and pa lining up. The weak reaction up to a W pivot certainly certainly qualifies.

Stop at BE, will look to exit at RN even though there is potential for 15/85 trade. Time of day approaching where there can be a CT move even if its a small fake.

GU shooting up so change of plan out +25 and couldn't care 2 hoots what happens now till US session. Have to protect those profits on a re-entry trade never know what can happen.

GU didn't pan out as per my earlier analysis, so what no problem EUR did so thats where my focus was. GU could still do what I had assessed in US session and if not no problem pips banked.

I tried trading flags as I thought Eyevoltage did, didn't have the same success. Then after looking at quite a few of his trades it seemed that where he was actually entering quite often co-incided with a lh/hl 5 min close where price moved through and closed other side of 5 min 8lwma. So I ditched flags and just carried on as I do. EV I think was much more of a flag in trend trader (could be wrong but it just seems that way) and the flag buy you had up wasn't in trend.

EUR 1hr lh/ll firmly in place. W pivots and SR levels have contained PA well this week.

GU 1hr hl still in place, we are at lower TL and looking like 1hr flipping over to lh. W pivots and SR levels also contained pa this week. Sell divergence still showing on 4hr.

Danc you like the W pivots, the indi in first post pivot points multi time frame working well.

walkman have a look at eyevoltages posts here http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...18#post5918918 certainly his flag trades are in line with the days trend, well worth checking out if you haven't already.

Have a look at blog, the link to chart patterns, at the various flag patterns. I'd definitely focus on trend, at the very least the trend of the day.

And flip over it did for a nice trade. 1hr lower high closed just below the immediate range, usually a promising sign for GU.

Might pop in for US session might be done for day.

V i will check it.. just got into habit of doing them by hand.. mainly put them on USDx and EURX ..Got a nice short on Aussie this morning here..also an up on EUAUD so just looking at mo..V repivots as a matter of interset also using 5 and 3 week pivots which change on weekly basis also 3 nd 5 mth.. change mthly.. just somthing i found buried on Amy C journal thread..

as a matter of interest.. 4 hr USDX.. currently caught between mid pivots of 3 week and 5 week.. with Fozzy and CCI showing some diversion.. good break ove
lower pivot at 8260 and i will be long EU.. i know nothing to do with this thread just an eexample.. 5week and 3week fibo pivots working

Don't think I'm anywhere near long eur.

My 2c. D engulfing close now below 50 RSI, 4hr just completed a neg close lower high + RSI below 50. Yes the 1hr lower high flow stalled and has a struggle with Y's low but this is one where I'd leave and see what happens Monday before I consider a buy.

5 min has those smaller bounces which might just signal failure of 2265.

Just chucking this out there. I have been focused for some time on 1hr flows i.e. lower highs lower lows, higher highs higher lows. I tend to focus more on eur and gu. Is there any interest in looking at other currencies and would others be prepared to post their charts on these set ups?

I was alerted to chfjpy and eurjpy, and wondering what else is moving.

I tend to get eur gu tunnel vision. Are these 2 enough on most days?

Hey danc we were both right, the 5 min pa gave a trade downside and your analysis shot the lights out. Amazing move up.
