Quoting Mike JolleyDislikedNo, it doesn't help. It hurts everyone.
Every true entrepreneur knows that nothing is more important than credibility. You can even sacrifice your credit rating by going bankrupt, as long as you don't make false promises to current and potential customers.
Legality has nothing to do with it. It's about customer service.
I started OnlineHonesty.com with this premise in mind.
There are many deeper reasons why credibilkity is important, and it goes deep into the sales process. If a single person exposes you as making a false claim, you're screwed for life. I did this to someone at http://www.onlinehonesty.com/the-hol...se-advertising. This product, regardless of its false claims, also happens to be a huge instigator of blog and forum comment spam and I want themn to suffer.
There are a lot of scam busters out there, and I'm one of them. If you need help starting an honest business, there's a ton of help out there.Ignored
Perhaps my post needs some clarification. My definition of taking money from suckers does not mean stealing money from them and/or telling lies. It's more in the vein of being on the other side of their trades.
In regard to your website, I think that it's a clever business idea. You did well to get that domain name too.
