I never understood this until I had my accident (probably one of the reasons it happened to me), then I realised that what little we do is really out of our control, sure we can try to limit the risks but that is all, some things look very innocent but come with very real unseen/experienced risk, that is where the real danger lies because your expectations of harm/loss is minimal.

The hardest part I've found about managing my book is how far to go on drawdawns. I've experienced long periods of daily profits and then after 3 months, half of them dissapear in 1 bad day. (as it seems happened to you?)
