I think the secret is to keep your SL very tight (<10 pips), move to BE quick and let your winners run (next s/r zone, RN or ema). Personally I also use pivots (GMT) to set my targets. More often than not price also...

Steve...if you want you Sl to be less...just concentrate on your entries thats the idea...if we enter at the wrong place then we end of keeping a huge stop...if our entry is not right then it will hit our stop in a second...

Eu hit the 4h 10e and 15m 200e;
15m pinbar was last closed candle. It looked good even though not at RN.

Went short on open of next 15m candle with sl behind pinbar.

no bounce down.........yet.

Better wait on a round number...I don't know what I'm doing.

Hi Steve,

I always find it helps to trade with the slope of the 15m 10 EMA, if your trading the 15m chart, so if it's sloping up only look to trade long. Before going short wait for the 15m 10 EMA to slope down.

Something to look for anyway hope it will help.

Trade taken at red line for 25 pips.

4HR seemed to be moving away from 4hr 10EMA and 15M 200EMA.

Not sure if true to system but worked ok for me .

Hello dear traders!!
So i started trading today and here are 2 trades i had today on EU, i tried to illustrate all in picture,
there were two entries, the second one i was late for it for some 3-5 pips but still while i'm typing it reached TP. all of them were long cause downward trend from yesterday is broken up so only long trades. the first trade was on the candle with long wick (pin) that couldn't close beyond the 10 ema on 15 TF, the second trade supposed to be on the candle with long upper wick that closed above 200 ema on 15 tf. (the second trade closed for half lot at +20 and remaining is still holding)

For now +40 pips on EU only for today

Advanced bounce off HTF ema's will usually be against the slope of the 15m 10e but obviously I'm not ready for advanced.

You point using the basic setup where the 10e is down....that's what I must go back to I think. I've pushed myself beyond what I really understand...back to basics.

Your help may have turned on the light...thanks and God bless you.

I don't think I'm overtrading afterall...as loveevey1 says....work on entries. I'm just trading wrong.

I too found that the 'basic' setups outlined on page one are effective and simple to follow. The thread then moves to the more advanced method and higher time frame bounces and counter trend trades which seem to 'muddy the water' at least as far as my trading this system is concerned.

It would be beneficial to myself and im sure other newbie traders if the advanced and counter trend trade rules could be added to the first page to help with this.

This thread has been very valuable in helping me improve my trading and thanks to all those contributing.

2nd trade today entry at red line and exit at round number (happens to be a pivot too). 25 pips.

Could have held for more, suppose thats trading!

I don't if your aware but you entered right on a RED news release, lucky it went one way with no whips. I'm guilty of the same thing but I now keep an eye on FF news calendar. More RED news due out for USD and EUR at 1.30 GMT.

Yeah I waited for the news and it moved it up so took a chance. Do you never trade news?

Thats why i exited as soonas it stalled.

shorted for 50 pips after gu 15m candle closed a big pin bar. Waited on it to hit every HTF ema first. Finally, it couldn't push up anymore and closed in at nice RN 1.5600. Then next 15m candle went up to 800e and when it crossed the RN 1.5600 again I felt the odds were good to drop more as Au, Eu were dropping too. I planned to close quickly. I was out in 5 minutes...lucky. God blessed me.

I didn't bother to get up early today, because of all the news events.
I saw this opportunity, and entered.
It was a retrace back to the 10 ema on 4h chart.
I should've added @ RN , but I wasn't too confident because of the large candles. It worked.
