If this is about the dollar Canada. I did the analysis of daily chart. But for 4 hours just started working out a model of down. It may take 200 points. I recently started to see it. And not always believe that to be the case. In this trade you need experience and strict rules. I write these rules on paper and will observe them. I watched this week a lot of trades. 80% before it was Vice versa. Now the market has a chance to give me a profit!

I took this trade last night, Notice where I point out the UTAD (Upthrust after Distribution). I sold at 1.2287 and closed the trade at 1.2160 for 127 pips.
I did not want to hold the trade over the weekend and give back anything to the market.

I rarely look at any news if I am trading. Only news ill look at is the major ones to manage my trade. Most often it seems price tells a story of what is going to do about half an hour before news comes out.

In these markets its hard to know where price will be in a month or 2. I take my pips on a swing trade and take profit when I see necessary after a day or more. I can re-enter another time.

So I have placed a new trade on AU, I also have on on the EURUSD. I wanted to post a picture, to show you how obvious price action becomes after some time of staring at charts.

We see market momentum to the downside is obviously interrupted by buyers. Can you pick out why I took the trade?

There is no Spring however we can see another form closely to Wyckoff sometimes springs do not happen always. I been waiting to show a setup such as this to show you that market formation will never be the same even in Wyckoff scenarios, but it will be damn well close.

I have read and understadn the overall concept but dont follow how you determine your entries.

I just look at the figure. And looking for those who will be like a spring. Like in the picture.
Statistics testing of a model of 60%, with a ratio of stop\the profit of 1:2.

Oil. It was interesting! Very high accuracy. The British pound, here I was waiting. It was good too.

It hard to follow your chart, what are you looking for to take a trade, step by step? whats your stop and which time frame do you look at to make decisions?

I already do not work, yet I do not see this setup. Oil was good. Now the British pound. In the picture above I showed you that I was waiting for. And now I'm fixing profit. Moreover, and up and down. Now I want to wait and see what would sell again. I don't see the idea here is to write more. What should I have done. Now will work. The most important thing in this strategy is to forget all that was before. And throw indicators away! Good luck!

Not following the thread, what is the method your trading, where is the volume implemented in all of this?

Hey folks, Ok so I wanted to post something. I fugged up on a trade because of improper SL placement. I also went against my trading rules with it. But it is ok, I did lose a trade and some profit however Not to worry becuse I can always make it up.

So I was very very bearish on USDCHF and I took a trade based on a Wyckoff setup I swa and also LL's and LH's (lower low's and lower highs).

The Circles on the chart are where I was short because I was confident on USDCHF being a bear, however I had gotten Shaken out.

Study the chart, you will see where I placed my initial Stop Losses. I have identified that I would have been in some sweet profit If I set the proper stop losses, based on the H4 Swings.

I hope this helps others survive a trade they know they will gain nice pips on if they hang in there.

The market remember does not go straight up of straight down, it will shake down and Proper SL placement is a must to survive trades you plan on getting in for the long term.

So i will look to see if a buy oppertunity here at support and lock in some profit as long as the market shows a trade buy. Ill keep the sl to break even and catch the retracement. I will tp arond where I got stopped out earlier and re-enter my short.

So Dappa, check out my latest post here #115 You can see my overall trading is based on swing trading to longer term trading. Here is a lesson of the wrong stop levels.

In order to really understand how I trade, it takes practice, and hundreds of hours of staring at charts and trading. It is more of an advanced level of trading, because with Wyckoff you are catching trend reversals. Now you must understand there are different of trends. A long term trend, a retracement is also a trend and, short term trends (short term being maybe a couple weeks). I attempt to catch the new trend (longer term, retracement trend, and shorter term trend)

First it is best to understand this discretionary idea of identifying the new trend. This is probably one of the hardest things to understand.

Just because time has passed doesn't mean markets trade differently. The same factors (support and resistance zones coupled with the big money shaking out weak holders before starting a move) apply just as much now as they did then. To just dismiss it because of its age would be to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Just to illustrate, here's an M30 chart of AU recently, which has traded in a range & thus had numerous reversal patterns. While they all have subtle differences, each reversal showed distinct Wyckoff characteristics, especially the "test" to shakeout weak holders & push bulls/bears into entering again before the real move the other direction began...
