Its always been pretty good for me a consistent speed, not super fast but pretty good.

I had a VPS setup in sydney, I think now they have a VPS service so you can have a VPS in the same datacentre as their servers... they were quick enough for me... but I dont trade MDP anymore or systems like that, that needs the super fast execution

So, how does Axitrader been doing lately ? Thinking on open up an acct with them. My first thought was MBT, but after so many complaints about their disconns and serious slippage issues, I'm thinking on Axitrader. Their spreads are great. My only fear lies in fact that their are a relatively new broker (established 2008)...

What do you guys think ?

Hi,

Currently a user of Axitrader, been trading with these guys for a year and a half, the first year i've been consistently losing money but had no problem withdrawing funds.

Also, never encountered a problem with the server although sometimes the feed may be a bit laggy to execute or close an order, but overall a very minor issue.

As i am starting to make money now due to a consistent trading plan i have just been browsing the forum in regards to the safety of my funds. Just wondering whether they will take my funds or do stuff with my account, I would like to research more about them, went through their entire website and documentations, PDS and stuff, seems pretty legit, but don't really understand the specifics behind it (which are probably important). If anyone else has experience with this broker esp. those that have a decent amount invested over 50k would really appreciate it.

Also like someone mentioned, do they take an automatic position opposite to you or do they just make money off the spread?

True, one of their tech support staff in the European call center admitted this to me. I'd made a pretty healthy sum of money myself from manual trading and EA's, MDP included so I withdrew my profits and ran, I'm now considering opening an account with axi trader as they seem to be the new gomarkets.

I've come to the conclusion that all brokers are market makers regardless of what they say, however some set virtual dealer to be nicer than others. Gomarkets have recently set their virtual dealer to be very nasty, obviously they needed to claw back some of the money they lost from the MDP traders. Their greed has backfired on them though, as people have left in droves. Let's hope axitrader don't make the same mistake. If you want to set a minimum stop size, fine, but don't outright cheat us through slippage and execution delays.

What I don't understand is why these brokers need to cheat us at all, they make MILLIONS of dollars a year just from the spread alone, how much fricken money do you want?!

I imagine once GoMarkets have made their money back they'll come on and boast about how they've got a new "liquidity provider" of course the reality is they'll have just set virtual dealer to deploy less slippage.

I've been trading for more than 10 years and 6 years on forex. Currently, I'm doing some private fund management for my clients.

I've accounts with some reputable forex brokers regulated by FSA, NFA, ASIC, MAS. So far, I would say AxiTrader is one of the best brokers I trade with. Excellence spreads including minors and exotic pairs, this provide me with trading opportunity and choices in selecting currency pairs (I do both scalping and swing trading).

Withdrawal of fund is never an issue and the withdrawal processing speed is superb, even faster than my local forex broker.

Excellence support from the account manager as well.

So far, I'm very happy with AxiTrader.

If purely base on reliable broker with MT4 platform, try to look for brokers with bigger transaction volume (more traders are using), regulated by NFA, FSA, MAS, ASIC (Very important) and with segregated account (Very important).

Other than AxiTrader, I also trade with Forex.com, Oanda and VantageFX.

When reliability is almost equal, the next thing I looked into will be their spreads, connectivity and speed of execution. And among all these brokers, AxiTrader stands out especially on their spreads. They have pretty good connectivity and speed of execution.

Mmmm always a bit strange that someone plugs a broker like that in there first few posts.
Just to throw my 2 bob in I have been trading with them for over a year now day in day out and yes there withdrawals are fantastic and spreads are pretty good to, the only place they fall down is order executions they are pretty slow most of the time and sometimes takes 5 - 10 seconds to go thru but what I have really noticed lately is the slippage on stop and limit orders im starting to think theres a little well known program plugged in the back end, I could be wrong and hope I am.

Well ... the main reason why am I sharing about broker in my first few posts is because to me having the right broker is the most important thing in forex trading other than trading stategy.

As I'm helping investors to manage fund, I need to ensure that their funds are in a save hand as the last thing I want to see is my clients' funds are stucked with a broker.

Now you know why are they doing it....can see this pair started to move on 4 Sep and since then, it has been moving up more than 150 over pips after ranging for so long?

When they changed the leverage, what is the first thing that come to your mind? But for me is .... there will be something happening to this pair, as simple as that. I'm not sure how many traders had the same thought as me.

I believe they had forseen this and want to protect their clients by indirectly providing a warning sign. How many brokers actually care to do this? I'm not sure the rest, other than the speed they have, this is also what I like about them.

Just my opinion.

Go Markets are not as good as they used to be but I am not experiencing any slippage since the new people took over. You could also have a read of the Pepperstone thread,
