I started here at FF with nothing and owe a great deal to experienced traders, but I must say that everyone is different and although I took lots from various people, I probably don't trade like any of them.

What I am trying to say is that your own personality and trading style might not match mine, you may find that you subconsciously alter the system to suit you.

That is fine, use whatever you gain here however you want.

I try to post as quick as possible, sometimes it is hard and trades maybe slightly late, sorry

What you said is so true.I find myself in learning everyday from great traders like yourself here at FF.Things that would take me ages to figure out by myself like what you said about you only trade the reversals mostly of the key areas rather than the continuation because for one you don't often get suckered into the fake break out and you have a relative high or low that you could place your sl at and that in turn save pips if you made the wrong call.

I hope to be learning a great deal here if you are willing to share thought like those in the future.Little things that make a big difference at how I will now be looking in at the possible entry positions

it is all about a learning process, I was hoping that we would get others posting their own trades(and reason) and then we could comment on them.

Yes I scraped 12pips of the move this morning.But like I have read in one of your earlier posts you have a fixed SL but manually close your profitable trades.
I to have now adopted that approach.

Trading has been slow for me this morning.(still spend a great deal of time learning and trying to anticipate PA without being in a trade)

Just working on fine tuning what I look for entry wise,based on my earlier post about not trading the breakout only the reversals like you stated.just checking how that would have affected my trades have taken this week.I was actually getting suckered into a lot of fakes and that eats away at capital and my confidence.

Anyway previous trade seems void as the euro keeps dragging all pairs north.I am quite happy to wait for a bit of a "normal" range to form or looking to get in long of a decent retrace.

What fixed amount of SL are you using - presumably on 5m chart?

I look to get a 1/1 risk to reward so 12pip TP would give me a 12 PIP SL

BUT

I am now placing them BENEATH OR ABOVE THE THE NEAREST LOW OR HIGH on the 5min tf respectively

Thanks for the post and reply.Your posted charts filled some gaps in my thinking!

I will be posting live trades from now on.No more of the examples after the have happen.I UNDERSTAND WHERE YOUR COMING FROM REGARDING THAT.
