DislikedHi fti,
this is only my second post because of language difficulties prevent me to trade with the dance and in the same time follow the thread. I've read so far over 200 pages and the first 50 I have read them several times. I'm slowly getting into the mentality and I am trading demo since three months with some success.
But why I write now is because I have hurt the story of your health that you feel in a terrible state of waiting for death.
Well, I think that doctors can make mistakes in their predictions, because our modern medicine can...Ignored
DislikedHi fti,
seek your advise on non forex related issues. Based on your expertise on Art of War, what would be your suggestion to this scenario.
I hv about a couple of hundred k $ placed mainly on local stock market (Singapore) and I guess the value of which is 60% . Mixed of blue and penny stocks . Given the uncertain future, I am very tempted to just throw in the towel and convert all to cash - with a wait and see approach. I believe the mkt will be worst next year than it is now.
Would you think I am sound or insane , to throw all out now,..to...Ignored

DislikedShorted EURUSD. Had to rescue the trade a bit. Exited with a small loss due to 1. Poor timing on entry, 2. exited too soon. Generally a good lesson for my first live trade
Dust myself off and look forward to a new battle.
Thanks, fti.

DislikedGood start.
Never exit too early or too late because nobody knows the future.
No guilt.
How were your emotions when lived?Ignored
DislikedThanks for asking, luSan.
Honestly, it wasn't easy. Watching the price moves while keeping a calm mind is all too new for me. I tried to suppress my emotion by focusing only on the movement/dance. At times I wasn't sure what to do. Also that buy/sell marker on the chart (I was using FXCM trading station) wasn't helping either (showing how much I lost!! how distracting was that!!).
The rescue process wasn't too bad but have to learn the right skew to use.
No point looking back (yike! look at how much the EUR/USD fell!!). Learn my shortcomings...Ignored
DislikedAnt's work.
Do not rush.

DislikedNow that's the hard part. Be water... doesn't it mean "boundaryless" or "go with the flow"? We (sorry for the generalization) were taught to follow rules and have boundaries (especially from my upbringing). It's a tough nut to crack. Wonder if anyone has any suggestion re learning such skills...
Thanks.

DislikedBe like water (still better to be like the wind-master Sun) has its firm principles. It is necessary to understand. You have to have and not discovered in the action.Otherwise you are in bad habits and reactions.
