Stochastics is going to cross down from the 80.

The only thing is price is above the 100MA on H1, does that matter?
It's a borderline trade, depends if you are happy with the extra risk.

Hi folks,

'Been looking at and playing with alerts and notifications from my MT4,
including some from a couple of pages back on this thread,
Tell me to shut up or just ignore me if you all already know this by the way,,

A while ago I tried to set up alerts to go to the mobile phone Android MT4 from my trading pc and I couldn't make it work no matter what I did, well today (after stealing an old android phone off my daughter) I tried again and 'they've' fixed it properly so the alert system does now work.
You can now have alerts go directly and very quickly from your PC to an Android device, (and a good thing is you don't even have to have your trading account running on the Android MT4 for it to work - the mobile MT4 just needs to be installed, it doesn't need to be logged into an account.)
If you've tried this before unsuccessfully you might try again with the latest download of MT4 from Metaquotes,
I'm using the generic one rather than the one for my broker which doesn't work so well,
After all the swearing and cursing last time I tried this, it was pleasantly easy this time round.

Somewhere in this Heiken-Ashi thread I remember a mention of a Trailing Stop EA, but I can't find seem to find it, now that I would like to use it. Is there a download for it? Thanks. Wonderful program.

Click on the paper clip to the top right of the screen and there is a list of attachments. Easy to find in there. Hide the images, just shows other attachments then.

I have a couple of short EU positions open that are not quite into profit territory yet.

I believe (just based on the last couple weeks) that US news will be of the green type. Assuming I am correct what do you think a good Friday/weekend hold SL to be 50 PIPs ?

Anyone have a differing view on the pair ...

I'm 3 trades short euraud and 1 short eurcad all at BE. I'm also long usdjpy but more because it only needed a small stop loss rather than any really convincing reason to buy!

I'd say you would want to be at least 30 pips away from entry on a Friday but I have held smaller. It's up to you and how big the risk is.

WOW - what was that nasty spike -

Taken out by SL - cant imagine anyone short survived that massacre.

And my superstation around Friday trading gets some unwanted reinforcement…

It got me, too! I don't know what happened, but alas my eurusd and usdchf trades have come to an end. 325 pips on the eurusd and 225 pips on the usdchf. I held on for 11 days; they were good to me, but all good things must end eventually. Also grabbed a quick 30 pips from the euraud - decided to get out and not press my luck, but I should've just moved SL to BE. Good luck with it, HB!

500 pips in two weeks, not bad! I think a lot of people got caught with that little spike. I'm out at BE on eurcad but still got euraud running and added another position so now 4 trades short. I won't lose anything if it keeps on up but if Aud fights back I will be in a very nice winning position. That's my sort of trading.

Thanks, HB - yeah, I'm stalking the euraud for a possible re-entry if/when it resumes its down move. But I might sit out the rest of today and look at it again next week.

Just found this thread and this looks very interesting, so thank you Hugh. I am currently in the middle of some fairly detailed back testing of another strategy i have modified, but will definitley be setting up a chart as you have instructed and will respond with any questions I have.

guy what u thing about pair GBP/USD 4H chart , the stochostic now is overbought but the sma still above?
