Yup we call them PPZ from j16 thread, and the last rebound from 1.2660 still fresh...so we'll see if it holds.
love your charts

Thanks. I wonder why J16 couldn't keep to the conventional name of SR.

A scalp here is good. I believe the big sellers will only jump on when price gets to their territory.

Bailed for 13 at that previous demand.

Agree with you that the real move might not happen until it gets to 1.0300 - 1.03100+. Sovereign and RBA offers touted at those levels too.

Will set a few alerts and get about my Friday evening

Just as Sam Seiden differentiated S&D from SR. PPZ or (Price Pivot Zone) is a flip zone in support & resistance.

Heres a few posts about it...

yes a PPZ is simply an "area" where there is a flip b/w support and resistance

These can be zones, and are often not one specific point. Often times they line up with other things such as round numbers

Hi IF,
What are the stop signs for Approach? I had thought that good momentum approaching into the zone is good - the stronger the hit, the stronger the rebound. No?

Depending on the approached zone...if i may interfere until Ifmyante returns...I'd like to quote KennyZ on this discussion...

one more thing that applies to both entry types that check how price arrived into the zone.. was it like Cheetah or turtle.. remember the law of physic.. stronger you hit the ball against wall it'll bounce back with a similar force-stronger.. additional point here is that if the wall is not strong enough then ball will go through.. so try to read the price structure too..

nice quote.... personally i prefer cp into a zone. Can be hard to pick the wall strong enough to slow serious momentum. The thing i always try to remember about big poles is that they almost always get filled again at some point.

Goldy and sorry there is no SL for this one and TP is fixed at the marked up zone..for now.
Ignored
The reason I didn't use a SL in above post is the higher supply zone (level on top of level) even though it had a +100pips prior to a -275pips DD, breaking risk management rules, still I've never been so relaxed with such a DD as currently I'm since learning the S&D/PIE.

Now, still aiming for my initial TG or maybe lower at the demand zone in confluence with trend line...or maybe I should stop thinking "Greed is Good" and close it at current price as long as all are winners . What do you think fellow traders???

Just my thoughts..

I would open up a fresh Gold chart without the trades being visible on it. I would then ask myself the question 'where is price coming from? and where is it going to? Where could it bounce? Could it retrace back up and where?'

Then I would open up the chart with the trades on and ask myself 'will i set multiple targets or keep my single TP?'

Re that quote:

Yes, a ball will bounce hard off a concrete wall

But sometimes it's a wrecking ball that hits it, breaking right through it.
A football loses momentum as it approaches the wall, but the wrecking ball accelerates.

Watch the approach to see what kind of ball it is
