I'm 3 trades short DJ30 futures cfd that my broker offers. I've got a pending order below last support to make it 4 short and then I am holding on and trailing behind pullbacks. Here's a daily view.

Actually I'm paying about 34 pips spread on EUR/NOK = approx 0.05% of spot value, vs 0.02% on EUR/USD and 0.03% on AUD/USD. However, for short EUR/NOK the positive rollover is much higher than EUR/USD.

We appear to be seeing some support/resistance at 1.25 for EUR/USD (to be expected given it's a nice round number) so I'm still holding-off the trigger on entering short.

Hi Hugh,

I see you have started to use fibonacci with the HA and also you seem to have 2 short duration MAs as well. Whats the period of these MAs? How do you use these to trigger your trade?

That's just a 5/8 ema cross. I have been looking into it on the monthly chart to determine longer term trend direction. I wouldn't use it as an entry system, possibly for exits though. Just trying stuff out.

This pair is looking like its in the midst of a good move.... looking for an H1 pullback to consider an open - looks like it hit our 100 line about 6 hours a go...

I've just taken my eurusd short. It did push down a bit today but looks like a better pullback now. I got in just under 1.25 and not going to have much time to babysit this one so put the stop at 1.2560, above the last 50 level. I'll try and get some add ons but mostly will be watching this on the daily due to time constraints this week.

Put it this way, my overall position is way larger than I would like to use for the first trade. It's as big as it is because I added on and kept the risk the same after each trade. I'm waiting for a little pullback now overnight and hopefully just get everything to break even tomorrow and then leisurely trail it down all the way to 11500. I've got a healthy profit locked in if the worst happens.

Usdjpy too unpredictable for me at the moment. Eurjpy looks better, needs a pullback tomorrow.

It's not clear to me what USD/JPY is doing so I'm also staying out. I can see possible set-ups forming on GBP/CHF (short) and EUR/GBP (long) but these are 'oscillating' type pairs rather than 'trending' so the profit potential is limited. I'm still holding short EUR/USD and EUR/NOK, which has made a pullback. On the balance of probabilities, both these pairs will probably continue to trend lower. As Hugh said quite succintly (paraphrasing, forgive me) "This business is about probabilities not certainties."

Aren't you concerned EUR/JPY may be stuck in a range between about 98.75 and 101.50? Are you betting on a breakout and indeed a trend change (daily trend seems bullish or uncertain to me, but not bearish)?

Just working the system that has earned me a lot of PIPs Look at D1 and H1 it saying Short me Drzeep, Short me........ Of course nothing is 100 %... we will watch what happens together.....
