How do I get this done?

Good day to all.
I have been thinking of how to have currency quotes displayed on my website fro free. I don't want to use widgets as I want the quotes to be displayed in a unique way and using widget won't give me this flexibility (my thought).

I once read here on this forum that one can use excel to get ccy quotes from mt4. my question is this; how can I do this? And, how can I use these gotten quotes on my website?

Enable DDE under tools/options/server

Then in Xl put something like

='MT4'|BID!GBPUSD
or
=MT4|BID!GBPUSD

(You may find a DDE Sample.xls file which already has links set up so it gives you an idea what to do)

These should then update with real prices.
(Note: when I tried this previously I had to shut down Google first due to a conflict?)

As for getting them onto website I cannot help.
