Currency options

Does anyone know where I can get info. on the net for
trading currency options and the best brokers for trading
them?

Most of the banks will offer to you option contracts on currencies HSBC, JP Morgan, Synthesis, Saxo ... some pretty complex options combination will be possible.

On the brokers side it is more difficult,

Oanda has a new box option possibility since couple of month



FXCM has some option possibilities as well.

many other for sure but be very careful and ask for a demo account to test it before Forex is pear to pear but with option it is even more up to your broker to give you a price ! especially when it comes out to American style option.



The Oanda box option is a nice alternative but worth the money? I do not know .

You can trade currency options using saxobank platform. they do provide traditional options which can be useful for hedging purposes also

yigal, correct me if im wrong, I dont think that has anything to do with options, yes you can use for hedging purposes but I think it is more like betting.

It's called spread betting just for the tax reasons, they don't pay taxes on bets. IG Index has daily and weekly options on majors and exotics. You can buy or sell (if you are a UK res.) naked options, I found them to be the best because of the low spread on daily options. The spread for spot FX is also very good say on EURUSD just 2pips.

I dint understand the rollover thing on stocks.

So if I bought a $1/point bet for, say oxy(occidental petroleum) at 101.45 and it was the day bet and I closed lower say at 101.00 and I wanted it to rollover would that I mean I would get a debit of $45 and then I would have to start with 101.00

I used to trade using options with saxobank when I was a newbie to forex and wanted to limit my risk. I dont feel the need to use them more. They are similar to the stock options only thing they are european style options. I used to use them instead of stop-loss too. unless you are familiar with stock options, I wouldnt recommend using one. I think they offer exotic options too

No idea, I do not trade stocks. There is downloadable dealing guide that will explain that, and a live help rep.
