I see that LMAX has raised the minimum deposit to $10k, whereas ArmadaMarkets has minimum at $200 on primeExchange account which has LMAX spreads but lower commissions.

I want to try scalping on Accent forex. The reason for this that right now they have a promo Master Scalper and it is held on demo account. So there is no need to open a real account and deposit it. Registration is free of charge - so I won't loose anything.

Dont waste your time on Accent Forex. I dont know how on earth they got great reviews. Forget scalping as they offer a TS of 60 points which is bucket shop material. Exness is a market maker and offers far better TS than Accent Forex.

Accent replies that you can scalp on their account. HOW?

Does anyone have any recommendations/reviews for brokers if you are scalping?
Ignored
Trading for small pip movements (scalping) requires a low total trading cost and a high degree of accuracy. For example, if your total trading cost (Spread+Commission+Slippage-Affiliate Rebate) is just 1 pip per trade round turn, and you are using stops and targets of around 5 pips, then you need to be 60% accurate just to cover the 1 pip cost per trade. Therefore you need to be trading with as low a total trading cost as possible, and to achieve that you need fast execution (reduces slippage), high liquidity (reduces slippage), low spread and commission. It's also important to have a low "Stop Distance" giving you the flexibility to adjust your exposure as and when you need.

FXPro is a broker with good reputatuion but it's mininimum deposit is 500$ and it offers 0,1 Lot and that is noе very convenient for everybody, to mind. As for me, I want to start scalping with 100$ deposit thus to reduce my risks.

Frankly speaking, I worked with Exness and he "did his best" in great amount of requotes and also in moving limit and stop level. It should me mentioned that 60 points (at 5 unit quotes) is 6 standart and that is below average for forex brokers. For scalping I use EA that opens and closes orders withought using pending orders. AccentForex is quiet good right now. I'm also ready to show my statistics on Saturday and Sunday.

The one-click trading function on the MahiFX platform is awesome for Scalping. I've been experimenting with a demo account there for a few weeks now and have to say, for scalping its pretty good.

Agree they are good (used to use them) but FxPro is offering unlimited cash rebates now up to 0.8pips. Better spreads than Oanda last time I looked?

another is the lag i get occasionally, especially from metatrader. I've had orders take 45 seconds or so to execute. I've been with oanda for a few months now and found this post while looking for a new broker.

I see some ppl said Oanda is good for scalping.

I will tell You history.

2yrs I was skalping with EA on EUR/USD - after 100% of account in 2weeks I had phone from Oanda - stop skalping or we will close ur account - u have to stay with position at least 1 minute.

3yrs ago i had triangular arbitrage on Oanda - guess what - it profit week after week and they made slippages and destroy system.

So think not twice but 3-4times before opening account in Oanda. Well if u r not profiting every broker seems good

Similar problem i had with...

I edited - that most ECN have same problem - slippages. If u r using market orders for open trade - thats not so bad. Specially if u close them in same way. But buy/sell stop and SL (SL its just opositte direction buy/sell stop) are slippages. Thats problem of pure ECN.
In normal market 0,1 - 0,5 slippage is not that big problem - but when You get stopped out its make 1pips, and in rapid moves much more (open position 2-3pips close on SL few seconds after 2-3pips slippage...)- and thats best time for skalping (im not saying about minor news thats different story - even best brokers have problems - i got 15pips slippage on Dukas for example in 30pips move on EUR/JPY on news).
For ppl with SL 20-50pips thats not big problem but im using 2-4pips SL for skalping and 1 pips its 25% - 50% bigger lose.

Anyway even if someone is using 50pips SL its better not to have slippage than have them.

Yes it is true what you say. With an ECN brøker slippage on stop orders will always have a significant impact on your bottom line if your scalping with 3-10 pips SL and TP. However it can be counteracted if you can incorporate limit orders into your strategy.

Thats almost true. I had situations on Dukas when i put limit order - and i sow it in market depth price pass it and order wasnt opened - support told me that non of Liquid Providers didnt want to take order - so its not so good too - its not regulated like stocks - where such situation is just impossible.

Of course I mean that price pass it 1-2pips and than return and went other way - way of my order.

I have to disagree. What you call slippage, from my point of you is just market conditions. When you trade with a real ECN broker, you are connected to the real Ask & Bid market that changes every second. Therefore, it is obvious that the price might change from the moment you send the order to the execution. I trade also stocks and you cannot avoid it- this is how the real market works. I prefer trading with real ECN brokers such as FXCM or sunbirdfx or Alpari UK rather than getting requotes from market makers that "guarantee" stop-loss orders.
