Is there an indicator or formula that one can use to calculate the speed of a bar while it is forming. Pips/second measure. With this calculation an Expert Advisor will pick up there is a spike on the way.

Yesterday and today price was strange, probably the combo of friday news + election in france and greece has created a "now what we have to do ?" effect, don't know.
But i'm in this; good leveles to me, and i like the way price approched the zone on daily, but don't like the way price reacted to this zone since now; anyway it's a free trade, at the worst it's a no gain trade, nothing else.

unfortunately sometimes i have to sleep, but this could be very interesting to watch, there are very nice level to watch on LTF.
Note: the zone is pivotal since 1991!

I did not ask if you code EAs here! Because you are talking about price action you should have an idea how fast the bar forms if for example you want to scalp trade a retracement it would make sense to have this information.

I know what you asked m8, we dont USE EA's here (unless for setting and managing orders). Many people dont have any indi's on their charts in this thread.
Scalping (as i'm just learning) is done in M1 and M5 generally and each bar forms in exactly those times.

In this thread we attempt to read price action. No indi's required for that m8.
