Hi All,
Here is another one of my excel spreadsheets! This is my spreadsheet that I use to analyse my trading performance. I first made a simple version a few years ago, and have since continually modified and upgraded it all the time. It is very simple to use, though may seem a bit complicated at first i've wrote clear instructions below on how you can use it to analyse your own trading performance.
I prefer having my own spreadsheet over using something like fxintel, myfxbook, or forexfactory because this way I can set it up exactly as I like and do the stats I want to do. This version i'm uploading is a simplified version, to make it more accessible and easier to use for everyone, also others probably wouldn't want all the specific stats i've done in the full version.
here are the instructions:
1) Load all of the account's history into the history tab of the MT4 terminal.
2) Run the script on any chart. This will do three things:
i)Show trade history on the chart for trades made on that chart
ii)Export the history into a .csv file in the directory "MT4/Experts/files/Account History/(account no.).csv"
iii)Export the account information into a .csv file in the directory "MT4/Experts/files/Account Info/(account no.).csv"
3) Open the account history csv file.
4) Copy it's contents (columns A:Q) and paste (use paste special:values) it in to the performance history spreadsheet, starting in cell A3
5) In the Performance History sheet, go to cell BA3, and enter the start balance (account balance before the first trade was placed)
6) In cells AY4:BA20 add the date and amount of any deposits or withdrawals. Deposits as positive numbers, withdrawals as negative numbers.
7) In Cell BC21, enter the USD rebate per lot, (if any), otherwise enter 0.
Notes:
- All the information you need is in cells BB3:BC27, the "charts" sheet, and daily summaries are in cells AS:AX.
- Commodity pairs not supported.
- By changing the MA period in Cell BC2, it changes the Moving Average period used to plot the graphs in the "Charts" sheet
EDIT 26-04-2012: I'm uploading the more elaborate version as requested. You will need to download the history script again as i have updated that too so it works with the new version of the spreadsheet. The start account balance is now entered in cell AK2, (I've formatted everything to USD in this version). The data for columns A:L are produced from my market order scripts here.
Any questions, feel free to ask, feedback welcome
