What I know is always after NEWS release, if price let's say suppose to go LONG, first it does a huge "drawdown" to the next level BELOW, to jump up from it...
it ususally takes plenty of stoplosses, so many traders loose, even being right about direction.
Ah yes, that's what I had experienced during my few months of trading, gave up on news trading and looked to h4 for signals, signals are far and few with a need for wide SL but it's easier.

Now i'm learning how to trade PA, S/R and MA on M15 for some intraday trades

Nice, keep watching 50SMA, 100SMA on 1M, 5M and 15M charts.
Giving very good signals...

I used to be option and swing trader, but now trying bit of scalping...
Definitely more fun, keep my blood pressure on high levels

0-2% of the account is normal drawdown (1 or 30 positions), Still floating PL

2-5% is danger zone (still nothing special...a lot of activity on the market volatility is high..and this can easily result in this kinda drawdown. When this occurs...managing the pigs is a safeguard. Adding occurs only on pre-set levels where you can value future DD and exposure.

5-10% Playing it again slowly...ordinary...
I think I do prefer to close my loosing position with small negative balance, and then trying to get back again.
Sometimes I do not stick to that rule, biting my nails and praying

Just wanted to ask how you doing that you are not afraid of those "AFTER-NEWS spikes" which can quickly clear all your previous profits or even account.

i was on at $8 a pip because of news if that had of been bigger
i could not of held that long
looking back on that trade it was luck that brought it back
and i dont like to be depending on luck
just happy to be out

Now I will use those pips as a "security deposit"
Left PENDING ORDER to BUY @3140, and those earned pips will be my SL.
I am bit tired now staying "connected" whole morning.
Enough for today.
If I fail, no problem, breakeven, if correct I set up TP little below 1.3200
