I think this is impossible. Because there is no relationship of proportionality between TDI of different timeframes. For example: look at the Daily TDI...
Thanks for your post. You are right about the trend but the daily stochs are turning and the 80 level is pretty strong. I'm spending lots of time thinking about this system at the moment and I'm not 100% happy with the idea of trading against the trend myself. I'll see how this works out over the next few days and rethink it if necessary.

HB, Just an observation and not a critic, it looked like the H1 stoch was quite high when you bought and it was after a fairly significant move up. It seems to have fallen to a support now around 80.080 so could bounce back. I'm using D1, H4 & H1 mini-stoch charts on my template along with a standard stoch for the timeframe I'm on. When I read them correctly they seem to give me a better immediate picture. I haven't quite got comfortable with the linear daily HA candles yet. I'm also switching b/w standard and HA candles as each has their place. I do think that the H4 time frame is a good "central region", despite the different candles from different brokers, but like having the daily & hourly as ready reference. (Edit: meant to post the D1 standard candle chart, but you get the picture.)

Edit: 0400 GMT - Now recovering so could still be good trade.

Hello HB. Excellent work mate. This is a very simple and easy to follow system. I am starting on it from today.

Will post my chats as and when I enter a trade.

I have one problem though. I have gone through almost the full thread and could not find the period D1 stoch that you have used on this post/Chart.

if not too much trouble could you direct me/point me in the right direction and shoot? or perhaps you could attach the indi on your next post.

Would be a great help to know the higher time frame stoch . I usually trade 4 hr TF so having the daily Stoch on the 4HR chart would be great.

Thanks. The daily stoch setting is 1440. It's set right on the template but if you need to add it manually that's the setting.

Mate hats off. You are awesome. The response was so prompt it shows that you care.

Appreciate it. And I got th Template too dont know how I missed it. But was sort of doing speed reading. Will take ady off today and go through the thread thoroughly to see that I have not missed anything and start from tom instead of today.

No worries. The original system is outined in the first 60 or so pages and the new idea with momentum rather than trend is after that. I'm still working on the latest idea a bit, it looks great but there are issues with 4 hour broker time and what timeframes will work best together. Maybe you can add something to this discussion?

I will definitely try and add my two bits to the discussion. That will help me clear my own doubts at the same time I am sure.

Someone on one of the threads said that the best way to learn is write your opinion so that others can try and find holes in it. that way you learn more because your opinion is challenged, forcing you to think deeper.

I will definitely join in the discussion once I go throught hte new momentum method.

Looks ok but it's already shot down a lot of pips. When that happens I always think it might pullback before it continues but it could go your way.

I'm starting to think that the way to go is daily and 1 hour combined. I've read a lot of books about trading in the last four years and a particularly good one is High Probability Trading Strategies by R Miner. His Dual timeframe momentum strategy is more or less what I have been looking at. I'm thinking of using smooth stoch crosses and heiken ashi changes on the daily chart to give you the direction and then go to the 1 hour chart and use 100 and 200 sma's, round number s/r, heiken ashi and stochs to get into trades, get to breakeven after 20 pips and then trail the trade on the daily chart. You should be able to get entries with stops between 20 and 30 pips and the gains could be in the high hundreds for a good daily move. That's risk/reward! Also you could take 1 or 2 add ons at each smooth stoch cross on the hourly chart.

Basically it would be like using a slightly improved version of the original "Swing trading with HA and stochs" method but taking the daily momentum into account. To make it clear I would trade the daily swings in both directions because the trend I would be following would be the 1 hour trend (or the anticipated 1 hour trend).

I'll keep thinking and post some charts soon.

That sounds like a great idea. If we can catch the swing tops and bottoms on dailys and then use hourly chart to fine tune the entry we can keep tight stops. And as you say the TGT could even be 100 pips plus.

Do give us a shout in case you need some help. Although we are still learning I am sure 2, 3 or 4 heads are better than one and we might stumble across a solution to a block you are facing.

I am short at 1.0315 having bounced off the 1.0350.
Should I have waited for 4H bar to close?
